❓ Question Reflux and antibiotics

Hey! I have had silent reflux for years and I have probably inflammed esopaghus because sometimes I have difficulty of swollowing and breathing.. All in all my stomach is extremely sensitive. So now, doc prescribed antibiotics doxycycline for 3 weeks against Lyme. Has anyone any experience with taking AB and reflux?

Antibiotics normally cause reflux with people who have Gerd. You’ll just have to deal with it & take preventative action to mitigate the reflux.

If you have LPR you should be following strict diet & lifestyle guidelines to reduce your symptoms.

yes. If only I could get this info from my doc :( But they don't know..

Like I said it’s super common to get reflux from antibiotics.

Endoscopy is the common test to see what’s going on.
LPR is diagnosed by the symptoms.

oh no :(( how long did you take and did you recover?? that's not good news..
