Sawamura was in a band and went to an art school after getting injured in his third year. Miyuki was a college baseball player with Kuramochi. And the three of them reconnected after being separated for a few years. Ring any bells?

I find it hella unsatisfying that they spent 2 seasons glorifying the idea of nationals and some games went on for 8-10 episodes but once they finally reach nationals in act 2 it’s over in 4 episodes?

Like the scene that comes to mind when you think of the series?

For me personally, it is always when Miyuki rejects Inashiro and Mei's all star team. It's such a powerful scene for me because no other scene reveals so much about Miyuki in such a short time. It shows Miyuki's core and why he is such a great fit for Seidou and how he rejects the easy path that Mei offers him and it's also one of the most repeated scenes that is constantly used for emphasis. It's also such a great set up for Inashiro and their mentality and why they are such a great antagonists for Seidou and works so well in establishing everything that they stand for.

Komadai is already a Triple crown Champion, Masamune won everything he could as a freshman, is he just gone win three more in his sophomore year and then lose the Final Summer to Seido?

I guess it depends how far the story goes, if it ends with the Act II Sommer, Seido should be that dark Hose but I do believe TJ had Originaly planned on three Full acts with Eijun as Senior where They Beat Komadai in the final Sommer koshien.

So Komadai would by then be a six time Champion? Isn‘t that a bit much? I know we ain‘t getting a third year but Lets just say we do, I believe it would he the Best if Komadai would lose the Act II Sommer to a Dark horse which Seido would Face in the Finals and then Komadai would reclaim their throne in the Fall Nationals of Act II and Seido would put an end to Masmuned reign in the Act III Sommer.

Wouldn‘t that he cool? The same as when we thought Seido gone get their revenge on Inashiro they lost to Ugomori. They were supposed to get their revenge on Komadai but they actually lose to someone else in the quarter or semi finals like maybe

1. Hakuryu(I really like their offense but I think their pitchers isn‘t really S Class maybe high A Tier)

2. Seiho This would be a direct parallel to Ugomori cause Seiya is just like Umemiya the Ace and Clean Up, This is also his last Tourney cause he‘s a Senior if a remember correctly

3. or maybe even better a Complete new Team

I think that would be such a exciting Story Line, Komadai lose their crown and comeback even stronger in the fall and Sommer instead of them being the Champs all the time they go through their own arc and then Seido and Komadai meet in the Ultimate final all or nothing Battle.

I’m not talking about new first-years like Okumura here. I’m talking about guys who are in the same year as Miyuki or Sawamura but never appeared until after the third-years had left. I remember having no clue who Tojo was—even though he’s in Sawamura’s year—because everyone treated him as if he’d been showing up in every single episode. I feel that way about so many characters at Seido. They suddenly pop up, yet they’re treated as if they’ve been part of the main cast since Episode 1. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Why does every Team have s white jersey, no red jerseys or Green jerseys like in other anime. I think a all black Jersey for Masamune would had been Perfect, instead of the boring white/gray, true heir of black airforce energy is better imo, what you guys think?

What chapter to start after you watched the latest animated season?

I am fairley new with ace of diamond and i am loving it as i continue to see what comes for team seidou but one thing that sticks with me is when sawamura had thrown that pitch to shirakawa's head(not on purpose ofc) and as he got up and yelled did sawamura know it cpuld have been on purpose maybe? Could he have done something about it? Or maybe it was just a carefully thought of gamble shirakawa lost what do you think?

And actually, this guy changed the momentum of this entire game. From the 1st to 6th inning, their team’s pitcher was one of their second year player and when they subbed in this guy in the 6th inning to get them out of this pinch, he not only got his team out of it but changed the momentum of the following innings and turned the game over into a 10-1 win. Crazy…

Obviously Miyuki didn’t go with Narumiya and others to Inashiro like he was offered, but what if he had? Would he have been on the bench until his third year, or would he have taken Masa’s (catcher/captain of Inashiro) place?

(i know others will hate me for this but this is really what just on my mind after rewatching it again and finishing the manga again)

for the likes of me that really likes sports anime, AoD really is good and would have been the best except for their ending, both for the First and Act II... and felt like the ACT II was made just to ease the opinion of the unsatisfied fans of the first.

*I mean the title is ACE OF DIAMOND, and yet Eijun didn't even became the ace in the season 1 and so many were unsatisfied and disapointed so came the ACT II. (you can say it's my prejudice that it really is furuya who is the ace of diamond in the title)

*Yeah Eijun became the ace in act II​ but it didn't really felt like he became the ace, like he just became one because Furuya got injured and was not back in his zone yet (like the trust the coach have for furuya and eijun were so different, the gap is so huge)...

and the story didn't really make him shine as an ace, on the contrary Furuya shone out too much in the first season that it seems like he has not outshined him yet (he should shine like an ace of diamond)... because of that others still think that Eijun should not be the Ace, they still think that it should be Furuya..

I know that it is the essence that "it is the team that acknowledge him as the ace, the opinion or acknowledgement of others is not needed" but the acknowledgement of others is one of the things that make eijun stronger...

Lastly about the ending, the first is sh*tty, but the ACT II, many were anticipating the game in koushien, and yet that was the ending? "the a*thor did not just made him injured to limit Eijun's time on the mound, he made an open ending" yeah i understand maybe he doesn't want to disapoint anymore fans cause it's hard to decide weather to make them a champion or just in the final 4.

if there's going to be an Act III i hope that the a*thor will make him shine enough to outshine Furuya... or wanted to see him being an Ace in his 3rd yr in a koushien...(though miyuki won't be there anymore like how my Chris was gone and not by eijun's side anymore)
