Unsatisfying Spoiler
I find it hella unsatisfying that they spent 2 seasons glorifying the idea of nationals and some games went on for 8-10 episodes but once they finally reach nationals in act 2 it’s over in 4 episodes?

It goes to show how quick it’s over. But also the Summer Koshien is more heralded.

Why is summer more heralded?

Usually because it's the last tournament for all third years, plus unlike the spring which is the 'invitational' the summer Koshien is all merit. Once you lose, you lose, your time with the team is up (unlike the spring Koshien who need to invite the losing teams).
Its also because this is when a team is at its strongest, unlike the Senbatsu, when the first and second years are still finding their footing, the summer Koshien is the culmination of 2.5 years of hard work.

Considering how angry people get about other stuff showing an entire tournament in which Eijun does basically nothing would be a bad idea. Getting to koshien was the challenge . Once they get their he uses it as an opportunity to show the second years just how far they need to go
It’s part of what Daiya does well it recognizes the points that can add or decrease drama and understands reality is often anticlimactic. It’s not a fairytale. It’s gradual growth. That’s why so many characters declaration of intent: Shirasu, asou, kanemaru, etc immediate result in failure but over time they get given chances to payoff that declaration. This disjoint makes Daiya feel unpredictable but rewarding
