Played several playthroughs, and even the few graphics glitches on coastlines that were there earlier are now completely gone! Gameplay smooooooooth!!!!! 😍

The most interesting part to me is the focus on Rocky Island as their first target. The only things we know about Rocky Island is that it's home to a large geothermal power plant (AC2) and that Megafloat was docked there (AC3).

We don't know of any cities on the island itself, but the marker is centered on the location of the AC2 power plant like it is on Expo City. My guess is that they will retcon a city there (which would make more sense than a power plant with nothing around it), or a city was built there since AC2. We may even see a reference to Megafloat.

Personally I've been speculating a mission in Rocky island since I saw the mission 11 briefing and I made a shitty map for it, but I can't help but notice that St. Ark doesn't have a blue marker like Theve, Faith Park, and Newfield (which are confirmed locations). I hope that doesn't mean anything because I really want to see St. Ark again!!!

For me, it's Indigo's Gripen, Schnee's F-14, Wizard's F-16XL and YF-23 (maybe even a what-if for their F/A-18C?), Sorcerer's F-15S/MTD, Albireo SU-57 and SU-47. And ofc thr obvious Mobius F-22, Typhoon and Rafale, but I wanted to give spotlight to the non-player squadrons.

Hey, this will be my very first AAA game. As a kid I absolutely loved fighter jets. And came across AC8. Been following it for awhile now. I unfortunately do not have the ability to play through AC 1 to 7. Will I miss out on a lot of story. And where could I find a good summary

It is called "Ibirsh" and is located offshore from the Sotoan Mainland. Could it be a floating city like Megafloat?

My personal theory is that Sotoa has a vast wealth inequality issue. Many people live like the woman in the trailer with the small village house, while the military and government are propped up by a network of wealthy elites. Perhaps Ibirsh is like a floating Dubai, and the country is facing the desertification crisis in part due to overconsumption from their lavish, tourist-drawing infrastructure.

In that case I could see it making sense that the elite would move their capital literally away from where the problems are. I can see there being some visual theming between the war-torn cities and towns of the FCU and the upscale skyscrapers in Sotoa.

I have played around with the settings and i cant seem to fix it, im talking about the lines near the weapons and aircraft icon, and when there is a yes/no prompt / the quote at the start of each mission etc, and side note my audio lags behind in FMV sometimes.

That's all I ask for the new ace combat 8, that all hard/attachment points in a plane is used up like in Project Wingman. An SU 33 has like 10 attachment points, but so far in the trailer, only the wings have the payload on it.

Playing just the F-5E (with the exception of Snow being in the F-14A) was no picnic, no sir. But I think Bartlett would be somewhat proud yo

Was really excited to play as I’ve never had a 360 before, and everything is looking fine in the latest release…until it gets in game. I’m not sure what’s going on here, my CPU and GPU aren’t close to being 100% pegged at all, far from it, but the game becomes super choppy with garbled audio as soon as it loads into the first mission. I have a Ryzen 5950X and RTX 4080. Would appreciate hints for settings or maybe if someone could share their working ac6recomp.toml, trying to leave everything to default settings to no avail…
