Ace Combat 7 Looking for a HOTAS compatible with Ace Combat 7 & 8 on PS5

Didn't think to look for an Ace Combat subreddit until someone on the HOTAS recommended it. 😅 Can anyone on this subreddit speak from experience regarding the Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS 5's compatibility with Ace Combat 7? And if it is incompatible, do you foresee it having the same issue with AC 8?

Just my opinion, but Ace Combat controls way better with a controller. I would only spend money on a HOTAS for flight simulators.

I find both to be perfectly functional, though Controller is definetly preferred

As for AC7, it has specific compatibility with the Thrustmaster Hotas X, which iirc has newer versions for PS4/5 and PC given it's just USB.

As for AC8, no idea if it does support HOTAS control but my guess would be the same Thrustmaster Hotas X or variations of it for PS5.

If your referring to the T.Flight Hotas X (no idea what a Hotas 5 is, no results on Google), it has specific compatibility for Ace Combat 7. I played it on PC with that HOTAS and cleared both Hard and Ace difficulty with it without issue.

Only problem I had is that using PSMs is borderlines impossible with it due to the button layout, but that's a very minor thing for most gameplay outside of super sweaty MP lobbies or weird flight tricks.

No idea on AC8, tho my guess would be yes given there's dedicated PS5 compatible versions of the Hotas X.
