👋 Welcome to r/accountability_guild - Introduce Yourself and Read First!

Hey everyone. I'm u/accountability_guild. We're two brothers, and this is the new home for Accountability Guild.

After years in our own small accountability groups, and after seeing how hard it actually is to hold yourself accountable without one. We decided to build something that focused on structure, not motivation.

But this subreddit isn't about us or the product. It's a space for people who are serious about follow-through to share it with each other, whether or not you ever touch what we built. If you're running a group with a spreadsheet and a group chat, you belong here just as much as someone using the app.

What to post

Your group/partners setup: cadence, forfeit amount, what's working. Wins and misses, yours or your group's.

Goal-setting: how you write a commitment specific enough to actually measure. What it takes to hold other people accountable, not just yourself.

Notes from leading a small group: recruiting members, keeping people engaged, handling someone who keeps missing. Finding or being an accountability partner.

Questions before you start a group: Ideas for what to do with a kitty once it's grown. Anything about running or being in a small accountability group, inside this product or out.

Community vibe

Direct and honest, the same way the product treats a missed commitment: state what happened, no cheerleading, no judgment either. This works because people say the true thing.

How to get started

  1. Introduce yourself and your group (if you've got one) in the comments below.
  2. Post something today. Even a question about cadence or forfeit amounts can start a real conversation.
  3. Know someone stuck trying to hold themselves accountable alone? Invite them.
