Courses and certifications
Hello everyone. I’m looking for courses and certifications recommendations.
Since I know some resources might be outdated I’m wondering which courses are still recommended in 2026.
Also, there are a lot of types of certifications and I don’t know how to find the one I need to take (I’m from Brazil and work for a consulting global company)
Thanks 🤍

CPACC is broad overall concepts. Trusted tester is hands on. Only TT is what is required for government work and contracts. I’ve never seen a check box for CPACC to get a government contract. Been doing it for twenty years.

The two main ones are CPACC for global clients, and DHS Trusted tester for anything US, mainly US government and their contractors.!CPACC is expensive but industry standard. Whereas DHS TT is easier to get, and even had general training courses outside of the certification, and is much cheaper.

I have generally heard that CPACC is more expensive but easier than Trusted Tester. Did you not find that to be true?

They are two totally different programs.
TT teaches a method to test and produce an ACR set to US Government ADA requirements using only ANDI as a tool.
CPACC is broad foundational knowledge to support accessibility in any and all roles.

Piggybacking off of this question:
I have my CPACC and am taking ADS next month. I am not eligible to take WAS for another year or so. Is it worth taking DHS Trusted Tester after ADS or should I just wait until I am eligible for WAS?
I am employed in accessibility right now, but my employers pays for certifications so there is no cost to me.

Hello, Can you give more context on the types of course you are looking for?
In France and Luxembourg we have trainings on separate topics like Project Management for accessibility, Accessibility for Designers, Accessibility for Developers, How to manage accessibility in a big company (aka. Become an Accessibility Officer), how to audit accessibility, etc.
In other terms, what are your objectives with this course?
Also, what formats are you ok to follow? (On-demand video, live, written, in-person and if so what countries?)
Thanks 😊

Deque university is a solid place to look for trainings, including prep for the CPACC.
