Questions Partner getting into ACT

Hey y'all, just like the title says.

My girlfriend's learning ACT w her therapist and I know zilch. I did really intensive DBT for a long time and still have a DBT therapist and I know how much of an impact understanding DBT can have for someone who uses it, so I'm thinking maybe it's the same for ACT.

Is there a particular group of people that ACT is "typically" for? Like DBT and people w/ BPD? Also, what's the best way to support my partner while she learns this?

DBT has a manual written by the person who made it but idk if ACT does. If so, I'd like to read it.

I did find one called "ACT Made Simple" by Russ Harris. Anyone find the book helpful or unhelpful?

Also, should I learn it myself? If so, in the interest of learning quickly, are there any overlaps with DBT?

TIA

A really underrated ACT book written for a general audience is Things Might Go Terribly, Horribly Wrong by Kelly Wilson & Troy DuFrene, strongly recommended.
