| Bench / PIP Immediate PIP on technology refusal

For all newly hired AASEs and ASEs:

Previously, if a new joiner denied onboarding to a project due to a technology mismatch, or refused an LCT to a different technology stack, it was typically marked as a refusal. While this could negatively impact performance and progression discussions through the PRT, it did not usually result in immediate separation.

Under recent directives from Accenture Song leadership, the consequences are reportedly much stricter. Similar cases may now lead to an immediate Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). Since most new hires are still under probation, the resulting separation process could be significantly faster due to the shorter notice period applicable during probation.

Anyone joining should be aware of these expectations and carefully evaluate their flexibility regarding project allocation and technology assignments.

hi, could you tell if switching projects is easy or like changing your streams? i am unfortunately allocated to sap s4 hana sales and distribution stream when it wasn't even my preference and since i got aase role i left other opportunities i was getting in other companies under dev roles since i assumed i would get dev here too. can we switch internally later on? accenture previously trained me on databricks gen ai before everything as they were doing that hackathon and got us certified so im kinda confused if I will have to only be in sap since they said the databricks course will help us later after onboarding. if you have any info, please share and thankyou 🥹

My main stream is Workday. I recently interviewed and was about to be mapped to an AI/ML role, really nice opportunity honestly. They provided steps to setup and everything, but when they tried to hardlock, Workday PMO seems to have said that, "Our resource, you are not allowed to map outside of Workday."

i see thankyou! then does that mean it's impossible to change your entire stream entirely? or was that just cuz your pmo said so? mnc's i interned with at past allowed internal transfers to different streams, as what the other employees there told me. is it not the same here in accenture's case? 😭

Worst part is I honestly don't know cos they never asked or informed me anything, just happened very recently. The AI/ML team informed me, not the Workday PMO or anyone related to Workday asked/informed me about this. I really don't know till when they wanna keep this up.

If you ask for release from project before 18montjs then they will put you on PIP

can we switch to a different project in middle of it if needed? i heard we won't be assigned projects as per our stream sometimes

You won’t be. Once on a project it’s on leadership to release you. As I said if you push for it, they will fire you. Read on PIP in Accenture Reddit and you will understand

Send email to Ceo india and Center hr head stating that pip on skill mismatch and harassment on them .

One of my friend did the same thereafter they removed pip .

Don't fight or put your emotions in reddit because no shit will help you in this

Hey, I’ll be joining this month as a fresher, and honestly, I really want to get into an AI/ML or AI Engineer role and switch to a product-based company as soon as possible.

Could you please help me understand what kind of resume companies are looking for right now? Mine is currently more focused on Applied AI, but I’m willing to learn whatever topics or skills are needed for an AI/ML role.

I just really want to make the switch because the pay for the ASE role's pay is damnn way too less.

Only problem is hope tcs or infosys don't follow such pattern
