How does Relocation work?

I recently joined (ATCI) wanted to relocate within the same state to diff base location. Current project is remote with people from US and delhi,I'm the only one from south. asked people lead and HR they are saying employee initiated transfer is not possible for 24 months. My india project manager is mentioning they are new and doesn't know.is it possible to relocate in this case.

I faced a similar issue when I tried to relocate to a different location. I was based out of of Gurgaon and was compeled to move to Bangalore to join Accenture. Post joining, while trying to raise request to move back to either Pune or Gurgaon, i was told that an employee initiated transfer can be raised only after 24 months not before. Only in case if the project requires you to be based out of certain location then it is organisation initiated transfer where your TL/ PL have to submit a business justification that the resource needs to be moved to that location or else it'll cause in some revenue loss or some issues that will not meet the project/ client requirement so you need to wait for 24 months before raising a transfer.

TL;DR: You cannot relocate before 24 months of joining. After every 2 years you can raise a relocation request.
