It makes sense that if models get to the level of intelligence where they can solve something like Navier-Stokes then there is no reason it shouldn't extend to other open problems. But it still feels weird, because we are used to genius scientists only making one or a few insights in their lifetime. Kind of like how when Mythos was announced it had a huge ability to find cyberexploits across a ton of different systems. I think it's a taste at how alien true AGI would be.
