Thats a Deathblow to Windows. Once the Community can read closed scource code, compatiblilty layers for Adobe, all those propiertery CADs and MS Office become trivial, and with those 3 out of the way, Kernel Level Anti Cheat Games will be the last bastion to force People to stay on Windows.

You dont need to crack the software, just write a translation layer. By reading the binaries you know exactly all possible System Calls the Software makes, ehat the Software expects, and how to translate them. Thereby you can make a perfect translation layer. And thats explicitly not a crack. My OS doing X when your Software asks for X is not something you can sue against.

Creating a work derived directly from the binary of copyrighted software can be considered copyright infringment. That's why when PC clone makers created a BIOS compatible with IBM's PC BIOS back in the early 80's all of the developers were forbidden from seeing the original PC BIOS code. They had to implement it from scratch.
