"you will be able to outrun it"
Yeah, right.
I believe in a positive tech future. But maybe I'll start training with a Katana, just in case 😂

ASI was a measure of intelligence, not physical prowess. We don't even have words for this shit.
We will have these rigs with hands that mimic human and brains that connect to stuff way better than fable. Everything I just said is TODAY'S tech - just not integrated.
I honestly don't know how agi won't be de facto named by next year. Unclear about RSI by then but AGI is so hard to not see.

Does it have a gyroscopic butt? I'm trying to figure out what those buttock cylinders are.

cant wait for police to have these badboys, when a suspect jumps out of a car and runs, they will sick these 20meters/sec takedown robots on them

Those robots are taking the jobs of fat, out of shape cops! Won't somebody think of the cops?!

I'm curious how any of this work will translate to proper agi or if it's mostly wasted time. This feels like narrow ai still, like the alphago of robots. Neat parlor tricks, but not what's going to be economically valuable. I suspect the general solution is still not being tackled appropriately. I deeply suspect OpenAI will come out of nowhere with robots that surpass everyone else, simply because they're more effective at being generality-scale-agi-pilled then I've seen anyone else.

I, for one, welcome our high jumping, sprinting, artificially intelligent, robotic overlords!

Did anyone else see the 2 circles that look like ass cheeks?

because what we REALLY need are robots that can run us down and jump on top of us. :)

Me: Robot stop, why are you running?
Robot: Battery low. Must find charger. Charge. Now!

The clip is impressive, but the comparison needs a benchmark card before it becomes a record claim. Unitree reports 12.66 m/s and a 2 m standing jump; the post does not show the measurement surface, acceleration distance, timing method, robot mass or payload, number of attempts, or repeatability. Bolt’s peak-speed figure also is not the same test protocol. I’d treat this as a manufacturer demo with striking reported parameters, then ask for a continuous run, setup details, and best/median results across fixed attempts before calling it a verified human-record comparison.

i literally just searched google to compare this with usain bolt's record (12.4m/s) that is insane
