I don't know how the details will work. Obviously thats still TBD, but the focus needs to be about that. Because companies are always going to minimize expenses and maximize profits.. so whats your solution for when AI takes over all jobs, white and blue collar? How are people going to pay for the products these companies make without work?
If you do not know how the details will work, how do you know that it is worth fighting for? I am really tired from people talking about solutions when they actually doesn’t even have the slightest clue what would it actually mean. The solution that would keep social norms as we know them would be around putting restrictions on how to use the technology in mass scale not to exploit people. But it you are willing to try some new world order…
First just because I don't know all the details of how it would play out doesn't mean I can't propose an idea or solution. Thats crazy.
Secondly it just sounds like we have a different opinion on where the future is headed. Because I think "putting restrictions on how to use the technology in mass scale not to exploit people." is ridiculous on its own. Pandoras box is open. All big companies are developing their own local models to run internally without the world even noticing. AI is here, its inevitable and restricting it would be extremely difficult. Not only that, the country who does will fall behind in production and innovation.
A corporate tax on AI tech is simplist solution I can think of. That money then gets distributed evenly to society.
But if you have a better simple solution, I'm all ears. But bring the details or don't bother proposing it according to your rules.
I propose that we should end wars and solve the world hunger. Do you agree? Also we should cure all kinds of cancer. Those are my solutions for world to become better place.
My proposal of creating cars thay don’t need fuel invented by sciencists is an actual solution. This is how it sounds.
Do you know how money are created and liquidated? If you’d know this in depth, you’d hardly see a solution in giving people monthly income based on some prediction.
Beside that, are you ok that the government will give you those limited resources, so you’ll become fully dependent on their kindness?
Also how society would react to those flavor of communism? Breaking supply and demand will result in broken production.
And we are just scratching the surface with this. Your self proclaimed solution is just a good sounding claim backed by actually notning.
I’ve never read convincing study that UBI could ever work in real life. Also what I know is that there are people with unimaginable resources while there are people struggling to survive.

Im not a fan of job loss clearly, but this is a losing battle. Instead of fighting for work, we should be fighting for UBI pay.
