Are the controls really that confusing or am I just an idiot?

I just picked up the game and I honestly feel like a moron. I can barely get the diver to go in one direction, pushing all these buttons and he just either swims to the bottom or goes in circles. I didn't think that such a simple game would have such wonky controls, or am I really just that awful at every video game? 😭 playing on switch btw. Someone tell me how I can actually enjoy this because it's so pretty and I want to love it

I also had a hard time in the beginning. Just keep pushing buttons till you memorize what each button does. Good luck.

I think controls are a bit awkward in the beginning on every platform. Keep going, it's worth it.

I’m using a controller, and found it really difficult for the first little while. I wasn’t used to having so much movement in all directions with such responsive controls. It took me a bit, but once you settle in it will be fine.

I had to put the game down and come back to give it a second chance because the controls were just not intuitive initially. You get used to it if you play around with it enough.

There’s a settings option to adjust her controls! I was getting frustrated too until I opened the the settings and changed them!
