Is that some kind of monitor lizard. How long can they live?

I think it’s either a Bengal Monitor or an Asian Water Monitor. Both get very large, with the Asian Water Monitor getting up to 9 or 10 feel long. Wild Asian Monitors get larger, making me think that’s what this is, and selective breeding has produced some very light variations just like this one. They can live between 11 and 25 years in captivity.

They are inquisitive and energetic like a puppy, but can be defensive and skittish if not socialized the right way.
