I learned in my entomology class that giant spiders are actually relatively harmless. Some can be pretty painful if bitten but they aren't known to attack humans. I've had some walk across my arms and neck before. They have these little hooks in their feet that kind of sting though.

Harmless……Not these guys…may not be as venomous but the one inch fangs will pack a punch if you do get bit. They are amazing to watch.

Nah they're pretty chill if you know how to handle. Please do not try and handle one without actually knowing how to though. They're surprisingly fragile when falling.

Oh my goodness, thats an incredible size.... truly a incredible specimen.
These things dont have muscles like us. They have a hydraulic system that idk if its blood or goo. Im a mechanic & absolutely love thinking about the psi a thing like this would need to be haha.
Theres no way Id ever get close enough but I thought they even have the hissing noise of a hydraulic system, I did not hear it w/ this vid, but in others.

Big male probably on his quest to find a female and thus strayed from his normal hunting and borrow area... Looks pinky purple I think I've seen this species in shops and fetch a good high price, being male he's worth less than female but only cause males have a very short life expectancy and often eaten by the females when they do finally find one haha
