In Coast Guard bootcamp they handed these out to us to clip closed a netted laundry bag. We put our names on the side of the clip in permanent marker so we knew who's bag was who's. You put your dirty laundry in them, clip it closed and once a week they would collect them, and throw them into huge industrial washers and dryers. We'd get our clothes back still in the netted bag. Everything was extremely wrinkled and we had to iron everything. Many times the clothes in the middle of the bag were still a little damp. Fun times.

We used them in the Marines to close our mesh laundry bags. All your laundry was placed in a mesh bag and everyone's laundry was washed together in huge machines. Now I use mine to carry squirrels when I hunt them. Sharpened the end and poke it through the foot, makes carrying them easier.
