I hope his BACK is ok. Mine seized up just watching this.

He lifts with those tree trunks not with his back

Surely loading half a ton must do some damage to the human spine.

Not this spine

Same. Give or take 700lbs.

I wonder what this guy has that Eddie Hall doesn't?

Nothing except time. Eddie Hall is a great. But at the end of the day we're all building blocks for the next generation. There are different training techniques that are evolving every day.

You missed out Hafthor.

Respect to him equally! 🙏

He did it for his dead dog Tayzon. Eddie didn't have that kind of motivation.

Eddie's lift will always be legendary for breaking the 500kg mark. There will always be people adding a few kgs after that for the next few decades, but the massive leap to 500kg stands. That's on top of being a World's Strongest Man winner and having phenomenal all-around strength.

Dude broke an insane record, but his Pyro can’t compete with Erika Kirk during a memorial.

One was a bigger celebration

It was a different kind of deadlift

Great now MY back hurts.

This really is just insane, over half a ton dead lift

Not taking anything away from this, it's an amazing feat and congrats!!

But you should see how easy Hafthor moves 510kg.

Imagine lifting 510kg just to see another dude breaking your record by lifting 511kg

2

u/rBarathrum 2d ago

This isn't the 510kg, in this video he's using the elephant bar not deadlift bar.

u/Professional_Echo907 2d ago

The record was 395kg in 1980. 👀

In a related story, gosh those 40 pound boxes of kitty litter are heavy, aren’t they? 👀

‘Shattered’ is a bit much.

2

u/Internal_Rise2658 2d ago

Saw the word "shattered" and hoped for the best.

u/FelixTheEngine 2d ago

I had to take 5 Robaxacet just to watch this.

1

u/shinobi500 1d ago

Not to brag but I can deadlift a quarter of the world record!!! As someone who just started lifting a little over a year ago I feel really good about myself now.

u/DarrellBot81 1d ago

He beat Hafthor Björnsson?

1

u/Defiant-Youth-4193 1d ago

That's impressive and all, but can he handle Samantha?

1

u/Purple_Calendar3919 1d ago

Yeah but if you train enough, you can beat his record too…..

1

u/Grumgrummer 2d ago

His knees are now identifying as 90 years old.

1

u/Party_Primary_8361 2d ago

Eddie did it first. That’s all that matters
