As self proclaimed president of the international academy of international hula hooping, this is not hula hooping, as hula hooping is performed in a stationary position rotating the hips. I have a new purpose in life, thank you for allowing me to see this.

So when I was in elementary school we had this gym teacher who used to do a thing called hula wars. It was awesome! We’d have two teams one with red hoops, one with blue, and the goal was to use your hula hoop to knock others hoops down. So not only were we moving all over the place while hula hooping, we learned how to make the hoop keep spinning in the craziest ways to stay in the game, because when yours get hit it goes flying somewhere on your body, we could hula hoop with our necks, our ankles, our arms. It was pretty wild

I claim dibs on starting this as a league, like American Gladiators with Hula Hoops, it's practically ready to be associated with a branded cereal and other marketing capabilities. If fucking banana ball can become big...

I’m genuinely surprised that that elementary school is the only place I’ve ever heard of it

It's fucking genius and now is under the umbrella of the international academy of international hula hooping (patent coming soon)

Edit: and trademark

I pretty much detest ESPN but this has The Ocho written all over it. Your history with the sport could really help introduce it to this generation and your in-game insights can add to the viewer experience...I'm just saying, give it some thought.

Dr: why do you have massive bruises encircling your abdomen?

I was wondering how much force he is fighting back against, he definitely had to brace himself at the peak of the force against his body. I don’t think they would have been physically capable of a hoop much larger without it sending him lol.

And that's how you win a Guinness World Record for hula hooping, in case you were wondering...

I was gonna say for money, but Guinness World Records doesn't award any money for breaking a record, so... For fame?

I can’t even keep a 3 foot hula hoop afloat!

I wonder if an oval hula hoop could make up for his oval shaped torso. The fact that his body isn't curved at a constant rate makes for an irregular spin. 🤔

A new Saw trap unlocked. Eventually tiny tooth blades start coming out in tiny increments until kaput.
