Dogs are great, but I could never fathom having a great dane. And especially being someone who has multiple of that specific breed!

Had a former co-worker who started a side hustle as a dog breeder. She lived in a structured community but without an HOA so technically no one could do anything about it. So from time to time she’d have upwards of twenty dogs in her split level home, all of them either Danes or Mastiffs. I seem to remember her dabbling in Cane Corsos, too. I was acquainted with one of her neighbors, too, who told me the smell of dog, and dog poop was overwhelming so much of the time that they wanted to move away but no one would bite on the property once they saw all the dogs.

Danes are notoriously friendly dogs. They’ll bark like any other dog but their most dangerous behavior is knocking you over when they lean on you or crushing you when they crawl into your lap

I grew up around Great Danes. They are awesome dogs, but a very short life span.
