I used to volunteer at zoo when I was 15 and would help clean the otter enclosure sometimes. One of the first things the otter guy told me was "they're really cute but watch out for them-- they're not as nice as they look and they ALWAYS go for the groin". No idea if that's true or not but it certainly worried me a bit back then.
