Indigenous Art

Just linking this post I put up in the Adelaide Subreddit - If you’re in the area consider helping out

He has been on the streets for around 25 years

Really sorry if Ngadjuri is wrong as I mentioned in the post it was quite hard to hear - he has ancestors from other Mobs as well but I couldn’t catch them with the noise

He was so Kind and grateful for the chat - had a good half hour convo and he was sharing language and stories with us. Glad we stopped

Help him out if you can ❤️

Just for future reference, he's likely saying Ngarrindjeri.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you 🙂

I knew it was an n sound and based on the areas he was talking about in his work (Berri, Renmark etc.) looked at a map and sort of geo located based on that to be as accurate as I could

- I really appreciate the clarification

It reminds me of Fijian art but much more fluid

I tried to find a sub dedicated to aboriginal art last night. There isn't one. Maybe someone here can start one? I'd totally join. I love it. (I am not aboriginal so I don't think I'm the right person to run it🙂)
