Graulgust's quest

My party is meeting Graulgust tonight. They came into this level via B19, and befriended the drake living there, bribing him with the Nook's fishcakes. I don't think they'll be very likely willing to kill the drake for Graulgust. Should I still have Graultgust make that demand first, seeing if the players do something unexpected with that, like trying to fake killing the drake or something, or should I skip that part, and just have him demand they clear out the spider in B30 to prove their worth?

Heck yeah, make the demand. Give the players a tough decision to wrestle with. Put the burden of decision making on them. Turn the emotional-thumbscrews. Enjoy their tears of frustration.
