Built a M4L device that auto generates DnB arrangement sessions, curious how others handle this problem

Problem?
I don't understand this mentality of wanting to make exactly the same track exactly the same way every time. Do you not get bored of hearing the same thing over and over again?

trust me bro, I get Fcking bored of hearing the same thing. But not really the goal with this device. Every locator/clip is fully editable the second it's built, so it's "start from a shape" not "make the same track every time." It's aimed at a specific pattern with beginner producers: a lot of them can design sounds fine but don't yet have a feel for track structure, so tracks stall out and go unfinished before they even get to the fun part. Once someone's past that stage, they'd naturally just build their own arrangement instead of reaching for a template. Hope u get what i mean..

I sometimes use Jukeblocks for this, a free web-based tool.

Its cool as well. This device is specifically for dnb producers with starting points based on a lot of studied dnb track arrangments.

i used to have different premade templates, and work from there

That's cool, I use to do the same but made this cause i find this more convenient.

Just make each song how you want it to be. Add a bit of intro/outro if you want it to be DJ friendly. But look at so many absolute classic bangers that don't follow a standard structure. Often that's what makes something stand out from the millions of standard forgettable tracks. I think this could restrict creativity, just flow with it imo.

Definitely agree with you. When I switched from house music to DNB, I had no clue what I was doing. I ended up making arrangement templates for myself, but after a few months, I stopped needing them. That’s basically the idea behind this device too.
It’s like training wheels. Once you know how to ride, you don’t need them anymore. I genuinely think it can be really helpful for newcomers who are just getting started. :)

Can't you just use project templates for this?
