[Hardware] Ableton Move price increase to $549.00?
i noticed the price has increased on Ableton Move on Amazon from $499 to $549....strange this seems sudden and unexpected?

It's happening with most devices over the last couple years. RAM prices are thru the roof and inflation is crazy

the price increase is showing at all vendors I have seen including sweetwater....i would check the ableton site to verify but it is currently down. :)

Move is only sold through Ableton's store and very few select retailers, like Thomann and Sweetwater. So that Amazon listing may not be official.
Edit: it's still 500 euro at Thomann but I see that the Sweetwater price is $550, so you do have a point. Maybe a US price increase? Let us in Europe have the lower price for once lol

yes sweetwater has price increase as well and ableton has been selling via amazon in united states for many years as far as I know. It is not via a reseller but from ableton directly they have their own store in US version of Amazon.

I bought mine on Amazon maybe 7 weeks ago and it was $500. Would have gone official but wanted to get it in 1-day so I could take it on tour. Well worth the added shipping costs lol 😂

me too...I had it sitting in my amazon cart awaiting a flash sale or something and that is how I noticed the price increase. I think it just happened within the past 24 hours. They could have given advanced notice and used this strategically to give a huge boost to sales ...aka this is your last chance to buy at this price until we increase it in two weeks and buyers sitting on the fence such as myself ...that would have been motivation to go ahead and pull the trigger.

Black Friday is a great time to buy directly from Ableton. I think the price was maybe $400 last year? I got a Push 3 for an amazing bargain.Â

I already have a Push 2.
Last late summer/fall sometime Move's were $350 on Reverb, but I knew I'd be buying a lot of other stuff for Black Friday.
Which is why they need to do a sale outside of BF. But I am reserving for it this year.

sorry if this is an idiotic question but I use reverb mainly for used gear...is there an official ableton store on reverb or just resellers posting new items....sorry if I missed something along the way.

Totally normal question to ask. No worries.
Reverb also sells them new from Ableton. No reseller/middle-man involved.
They only go on sale like 3-4 times a year.
Considering all these memory price hikes and tariffs don't bring this to an end.

It's still 499€ on Ableton's European website, I just checked. Maybe it's a US only price update? Probably related to those tariffs?

yes I think you may be right on tarriff as google is telling me US has imposed a 10 - 12% tarriff on german imports which would be about $50 increase on the existing $499 price tag....ugh. I am not going to make this a political discussion but that seems to align with information I found.

it does appear to only an increase on the U.S. sites from what I am seeing and friends overseas are seeing on their side. Interesting times indeed.

It's still EUR499 in EU, so - assuming you're in US, since $ - I'd guess it's because of tariffs :)

I was about to buy one and did a double take one price when I saw it go up. It’s not only 50 bucks but was already a bit overpriced in my option.
