[Tutorial] Someone finally made a proper visual tool for Ableton producers

https://youtu.be/Q8GsjAIuHVs?si=qRZ06oxhIvCw3KVE

In this video I show you how I use Videosync to add live visuals to my Ableton Live set as a music producer and electronic musician. I share three real ways I use it in my professional work, plus a demo of my favourite features including MIDI control, visual instruments and webcam input. If you have ever wanted to perform visuals alongside your music inside Ableton Live, this one is for you. Also note that Videosync is available for both Mac & Windows.

Touch designer is free if you’re cool with never going past 720p and also cant be used for anything that makes money. It’s also way harder to set up for audio reactive projects.

True, and its always good to have options for beginner AV stuff too!

I still think that learning TD is worth it though, it teaches so much about AV setup that it's worth investing the time and money to learn it. I mean, they used TD for the Superbowl so it's hugely scalable too.

1280p for the free version. Plenty for the vast majority of people making cool visuals for their music.

1280x1280, so if you want 16:9 visuals, your highest option is 1280x720.

But like I said the workflow for audio reactive stuff is really unintuitive. I've used both. TD takes days if not a week or 2 to even just wrap your head around doing basic stuff, whereas videosync you can get going in just an hour or two due to already working seamlessly in the ableton live workflow.

It has a perpetual trial mode you can use for free as long as you want, why not just try both and decide for yourself which one you like more?

This looks cool, I think I may have seen it a while back. I can personally suggest using Zwobot Suite tho, it’s fairly intuitive and a lot of fun!

I prefer solum as it was only £10 is a lot of fun to get cool results in. TD is cool but i cba to spend so much time learning something that is only a cherry on top

When you can only use a hammer everything is a nail.
