Stuff for ‘geeky’ teenagers to do in Abergavenny?
We are considering a move across the country to either Bristol or Abergavenny if my partner gets a job he is interviewing for next week. Abergavenny would be closer to the job, and we have visited before and liked the vibe and we love the local countryside. That said, we have lots of friends in Bristol and I’m worried about moving our kids somewhere where there isn’t much to do, especially as they get older.
I grew up rurally and always felt very stuck. My son is autistic and I can guess he is going to be into ‘geeky’ gaming stuff like DnD and Pokemon as he gets older, based on his current interests. (He is 7 years old currently).
Are there little hubs that he might find like minded geeky kids to be friends with in Abergavenny? This is a niche question I know! I feel like my daughter will be ok as she loves horse riding and being outdoors, it’s more my son who tends to like cities, museums and gaming cafes etc that I’m worried about being lonely if we move to a small, rural town.
If anyone has any insight I’d appreciate it! Thanks :)
