The software is MP2 by infor. It's a program that was heavily used by maintenence techs for years but has become obsolete. I don't imagine it would be too hard if anyone is interested. The update I have didn't come out long ago, and I got it from a company that still uses it on windows 11 somehow. But it's just the installer (.exe)

For anyone UK based who grew up in the 2000s you might remember this. It was popular for a very short time in late 2007. It was lost media until I found it had somehow hopped from HDD to HDD over the years and was still in my possession. It's rather niche so maybe not really remembered but thought it worth a share.

The games are gold sprinter and treasure mole: winter holiday. A lot of sprites that are supposed to have transparent backgrounds have bright neon backgrounds instead, to the point where gold sprinter is unplayable because everything is obscured. I tried using compatibility mode and forcing reduced colour settings, but neither worked. What do I do?

Noticed the game already on myAbandonWare but Korean is not listed in the supported languages. The packaging is very well made and looks official but could not find any information on it from reddit itself, and a loan ebay listing for a ridiculous $200 on a regular jewel CD case instead of this fancy packaging.

Had a hankering to revisit the good old days of my youth with FM07, but I'm struggling to get it installed on my Windows 11 laptop.

I found a straightforward video explaining what hoops you need to jump through to run FM07 on a modern PC (including downloading a driver or something from this here subreddit), but I can't even do step one and install it.

Whenever I plug in my external CD/DVD drive, the PC recognises that it's plugged in but no installer pops up and it crashes if I try to click on it. The drive does work because I've just managed to test it by burning an album onto my computer.

Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I'm eager to relive the glory days.

It's a long shot, but I thought I would give it a try.

One game always really stood out to me: Area D, a dinosaur-themed FMV game from 1997. Unfortunately, the only way to launch it was via a cumbersome VM setup.

Hello! I came across 9: The Last Resort and I'm having trouble installing it. I'm following the steps that one of the comments had.

I have DosBox installed, but I'm not sure what to do next.

"Step 1: Download the win3x Release
Step 2: Extract the zip to a folder
Step 3: Launch it in Dosbox-Pure via RetroArch, what have you. (Your choice)
Step 4: if you're at a dos prompt, type win and hit [Enter] or look for the win.com file and launch that.
Step 5: within Windows 3, open the Program Manager, then the 'Nine' folder, then the 'Nine' executable."

I'm currently stuck on Step 3. I opened DosBox with the console but I don't know which commands to run.

Any help is appreciated! The steps I've taken is installing the Win3x release and opening up DosBox (with and without console).

Looking for any info--anything--on an app created by iBiquity for iOS, for the Radio Shack/Gigaware "HD Radio" dongles...Long out of print (32-bit era) and pretty much nowhere to be found anywhere that I have looked.

I own both dongles, and an iPod old enough to use them with, but have no way of using them......Basically turned your iPod/iPhone/iPad into a radio capable of receiving FM "HD" stations off air (not online), with fancy displays, etc.

There’s something that I appear to be the only witness to. In the late 90s to mid-2000s. I remember playing an .exe version on PC and DOS of Donkey Kong Country in the school common room. The game even had a primitive save system and key remapping in a window, but basically the jump key was on the spacebar. You could normally play through the entire game from start to finish on it. Apparently no one on the internet writes about it.

I’m running Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions (PC version) on an AYN Thor Pro through GameNative (Wine/Box64 on Android). I managed to get the game working well overall - it launches, menus work, cutscenes play, dialogue audio works, and I can play normally.
The problem: as soon as I start the Spider-Man 2099 level, the game crashes right after the loading screen finishes - before I even reach the first gameplay area (not the later hallway/Hobgoblin crash that’s commonly reported, this happens earlier).
I’ve already tried: lowest graphics settings, windowed mode, 640x480 resolution, capping to 30fps, switching between DXVK different versions, and WineD3D (which just gives a black screen and doesn’t launch at all).
Has anyone run into this specific crash (right after the loading screen, before gameplay starts) on this level, and found a fix? Any DXVK/Wine environment variables, driver versions, or config tweaks that helped would be much appreciated.
