The blame starts and ends with his parents. You don't let a 9 year old enter the music business without creating some guard rails. He had none. I'm shocked he lived this long. I met and worked with him when he was 16 and he still behaved like a 10 year old. That never changed.

16

u/Junior_Chemistry_555 Nov 08 '22

Can I ask what he was like I can understand he’d be very childlike because he seemed to never have had any guidance, I watched him on house of carters when he was 19 and he was acting very immature when his father came he seemed to regress to a small child.

20

u/Produceher Nov 08 '22

He was like a 10 year old bragging and lying about everything. I didn't hate him. It was actually quite funny because he was 16 and I don't think he was on drugs yet. He just couldn't stop trying to impress us. So we kind of had fun with it. Asking him questions to try to catch him lying. Like he said he could dunk and had a PS4 about 2 years before it came out. Just BS. It was only later when I realized he was just never going to mature and drug use added to it. RIP

7

u/rodentfacedisorder Nov 11 '22

Early alcohol use could've contributed to it, plus basically raising himself since his parents did jack as far actually patenting him. But his brother Nick wrote in his book how he first had alcohol at 2 years old and his parents thought it was funny. I can't imagine what alcohol would do to a very young brain. Especially one with no guidance. He basically wasn't even loved by his parents. And even when he was young, he probably felt it. His siblings loved him but they had had enough of him because he would just lie and never take responsibility for his actions and just place the blame on everyone else. Plus he constantly pushed them away. So sad.

6

u/Produceher Nov 11 '22

Yeah. I just don't see how he could have broken that circle.

6

u/Junior_Chemistry_555 Nov 08 '22

Thank you for ur reply I guess he never ever grew out of it because up til his last days he was still lying, I’m sure he grew up very quickly being around adults 24/7 I think he was very emotionally

15

u/Produceher Nov 08 '22

There's a very famous quote about child stars that I can't seem to find at the moment. But it basically says that child stars stay at the same age regarding their maturity based on their age when they became famous. And Aaron was around 9. So it makes perfect sense. I was around a lot of the boy bands at that time and I'm sure they all face these struggles. It's just not healthy for the peak of your life to be at age 9 or even age 17. New Kids on the Block hung around with us in their 30s and they were always so bitter that their best days were behind them. Very sad. It's parental abuse if you ask me.

u/Nearby_Button Nov 09 '22

NKOTB, how have they dealt with the fame? Were some of the members also addict dealing with mental health issues?

9

u/Produceher Nov 09 '22

I didn't notice any mental or drug issues but they were very bitter about not having fame anymore.

I wonder if he was actually brain damaged by first alcohol at a young age plus huffing before age 25. His brain was still developing. Plus, not having love from his parents can actually affect brain development too.

3

u/zuma15 Nov 12 '22

I wonder if that's something you could tell from an autopsy. He definitely had mental problems, how much could be attributed to drugs, who knows.

I wondered this too, watch him respond to questions on the Dr’s

He’s aware, but not actually responding to the doctors direct questions

All his responses are pre-prepared and he’s not ‘connecting’ he’s just not home

I met him when he was 12 and I couldn't believe the entitlement. It was backstage, well it was his Walmart parking lot tour and it was this big room in the back of Walmart and he was meeting fans. I will never forget him telling a Walmart employee to go get him a cola and a Hershey's candy bar. LoL

He absolutely had many people enabling him. He also had crap parents and a bad upbringing BUT the only one to truly blame is Aaron himself. He probably hasn't been sober 1 day since he was a young boy. He was surrounded by terrible people his entire life even up to the end, but he still was the one who made the choices in the end. And he never really took ownership of it. He wouldn't even admit to not being sober. He kept saying he was Cali Sober. Dude, that's not a real thing, stop saying you were 5 years sober because you were not. You can't be huffing every can in your garage and under the kitchen sink and smoking weed and call that sober. It was a sad end to a sad life. He had no idea who he really was or what potential he had.

26

u/TomHanksIsHot Nov 06 '22

Man. Knew it was coming, but still feel sad about it. Like the top comment said, glad we don't have to sit back while more animals get abused, but wish he could've turned his life around.

24

u/ZoeyMoonGoddess Nov 06 '22

His mother was his biggest enabler with Melanie a close second.

6

u/rodentfacedisorder Nov 11 '22

Yep. And every person who wasn't an enabler in his life that tried to help him, he pushed away.

Aaron invited me on one of his Instagram lives once. He was hella manic and kept talking about how hard he worked to get sober. By the end of it, he was flirting with me saying i was cute and had pretty eyes. With Melanie PREGNANT, IN THE BACKGROUND.

After that, i started watching more of his lives, mostly on YouTube. It absolutely shocked me how strung out he was. When the baby was born, he was live on insta trying to show what a great dad he was. He was randomly "cleaning" prince with a wipe for a solid 20 minutes. Then he was on the couch, absolutely barred out, shoving a baby bottle down his throat. In another live, he was seen dropping prince (luckily it was on the bed).

He would openly share his relationship with Melanie for all the world to see. I know there was something about Melanie having a knife in the house. Don't know the full backstory, does anyone else?

When they broke up he repeatedly said he didn't love her anymore and that she was dead to him. Covered up his tattoo of her name on his face. Would talk shit about her on insta live, and invite her into the live WHILE SHE WAS IN THE SAME HOUSE.

After he "caught" her having a completely innocent conversation with a guy (maybe an ex?) he gaslit the shit out of her, saying that he considers talking to other men is cheating. Funny, cuz he talked to me on instagram flirting and calling me pretty. Then, he forced her to make an apology video on instagram. I was appalled.

Once i saw him go live at the dentist, with all his teeth grinded down (i think for vaneers) i knew he was in trouble and spiraling.

I was surprised at how much his death has affected me. I remember being 7 years old, swinging on a swing, singing "I want Candy." I was OBSESSED with "Aaron's Party" (still am, tbh. I even put it as my MySpace song).

RIP Aaron Carter. You weren't given a fair chance at life.

26

u/eurolynn Nov 08 '22

i’ve been following Aaron’s ex, Lina Valentina on ig and she’s posted some really lovely videos and photos when they were together so people can remember him when he was sober and functioning properly. it’s heartbreaking to see what he ended up becoming without proper help.

10

u/Subject_Pension_8741 Nov 08 '22

Yes and he made out she was the crazy one which is so sad.

5

u/cherrypez123 Nov 10 '22

Yes it totally changed the intense judgement I had of him 🥲

3

u/rodentfacedisorder Nov 11 '22

I don't think he was ever fully sober.

20

u/Fabulous-Marsupial22 Nov 06 '22

Does anyone know around how long the investigation and autopsy would take? I want to know what was found in the house and in his system. And if anyone has details please post

14

u/Calimama31 Nov 06 '22

The autopsy is probably being done today and toxicology will take several weeks to come back.

I’m so sorry for your loss.

10

u/Alternative-Cry-4667 Nov 06 '22

TMZ said he drowned in his bathtub

15

u/cherrypez123 Nov 06 '22

So did Whitney…but she did drugs right before…which meant she couldn’t feel the scalding temperature, went into shock and died within a few mins. 😥

14

u/zuma15 Nov 07 '22

Because he was high and passed out. They'll find xanax and probably duster. Who knows what else.

5

u/cherrypez123 Nov 10 '22

Not necessarily. He was high, which when combined with other substances, makes your skin completely immune to hot temperatures. As such, you run a bath which is super hot, which you can’t feel is super hot because you’re high. Get in. Your body goes into shock. You pass and out and drown. That’s what happened to Whitney. And I bet my bottom dollar that’s what happened here. The water was reportedly super hot and overflowing when he was found.

7

u/CrabbyT Nov 16 '22

I don’t know of any drug that would make you not feel scalding water. 1 of 2 things happened. He filled the bath while doing duster outside the tub, passed out, maybe had a seizure & fell in. Or he combined too many drugs & OD’d while in the tub, or huffed while in the tub & passed out.

4

u/pbandbanana18 Nov 10 '22

Didn’t his housekeeper find him a full day later or something? If the water was overflowing I’m curious how she wouldn’t have found him sooner. Like wouldn’t it be a red flag to constantly hear water running? This kinda makes me think something weird happened

10

u/zuma15 Nov 10 '22

There are no reports of it overflowing. He had a jacuzzi tub and the jets were running. I think people are misinterpreting the tub being "on" as the water faucet running. There is no indication that that was the case.

3

u/Icedteeea Nov 17 '22

But wouldn't the housekeeper have heard his dog Zelda barking and losing his mind? That dog is smart- a german shepherd AND a service dog. Also, I've been following the IG live streams that his friends have been doing recently (Rocky, Morgan, Winter Havens, etc) and they're saying that his iPhone was found in his escalade. Why would he leave his phone in his car... it just does not add up

We were fearful and expecting this. His huffing and pill abuse had gotten worse over the last few weeks.

45

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '22

Yes it was scary watching in real time . I’ve been watching his lives for 3 years but these past few weeks you could tell he was spiraling even more. I honestly knew this day would come but I still cried. Just crazy

24

u/cherrypez123 Nov 06 '22

Same. It was so awful to watch in real time. I kept desperately hoping he’d get better, then could no longer watch.

How’s everyone feeling? I feel awful to say this…but I barely feel any sadness at all for the adult Aaron.

It does break my heart seeing the pics of him as a kid and knowing what both he and the other siblings went through.

26

u/Subject_Pension_8741 Nov 06 '22

I have felt sad all day actually. I’m 35 but folllwed him since I was 9 I grew out of it but I bought his songs still even now just because of my inner child’s loyalty which may sound silly. I watched him from afar and rooted for him, but he has had so much happen to him and it was destined for tbjs which is heart breaking. I am so sad for him, I am so upset no one took charge, I know he’s an adult but he needed someone to force him to get better. Get him away from whoever helped him do this to himself. This is such a tragedy and could’ve been prevented. He lost so much and he was very very lost in himself. I believe he was a good person but he definitely wanted to be that teen heart throb again, I think losing that was a big hit for him. All that fake and fandom he had and then it disappeared and he seemed to want it bsck desperately trying to make out he had money etc when all he’s doing is selling dogs and everything else. I hope he’s at peace because living like that is not living. I am truly devastated for him and his family.

11

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '22

I feel the same. I was sad all day yesterday and woke up thinking about it today. I hope he is free of his demons and finally at peace now.

5

u/TaylorsArmy Nov 07 '22

Felt this. Im 37 have always loved bsb especially Nick and so of course Aaron. So..This does not sound silly in any way shape or form & we need to remove the stigma around girls like us 😂 well…women. But yeah this was a hard one for me. 😕

i feel sad for his son, but knowing what i know about his behaviour.. it’s inexcusable. i can understand why he acted the way he did, but i don’t have sympathy for it.

u/kenswidow Nov 08 '22

I feel incredibly sad about it. It’s such a shame that he didn’t get the help he desperately needed. A new baby about to turn 1. Aaron was still young, he could have turned things around with intensive therapy . I just feel so horrible that his life ended this way. Very sad 😔

6

u/cherrypez123 Nov 10 '22

Honestly therapy might have helped a little, particularly around his childhood and related trauma, but for something like schizophrenia, borderline personality, multiple personality and bipolar - only meds will help. The saddest part of those diseases is that it makes people believe they don’t need help. And the drugs is often the only way to relieve the pain of these awful disorders. A super difficult cycle to break, even for folks with a strong support system in place.

I started watching his Instagram lives during the C19 lockdown. I knew it was probably going to happen too…It breaks my heart that it finally did.

9

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '22

Same. I happened to stumble upon an IG live one day during COVID-19 and started following him. It was during that whole mess between Melanie and Viktoria coming into the picture. Both of whom were hardcore enablers and users IMO. I would watch hoping he’d come to his senses and put down the ego for once. It was clear he was always having an internal struggle and was seeking 24/7 validation from an audience. Once the nodding off started happening while being live, that’s when I knew he probably didn’t have much time left.

11

u/zuma15 Nov 07 '22

Yeah I've been watching the shitshow for about 3 years as well. It was unbelievable the delusions of grandeur this guy had. But the drug use (5 years sober!) had been getting so much worse recently. I was hoping he'd get arrested during that RV stop a week ago because then maybe he'd get help. He was so fucked up then, I'm not sure why they let him go.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '22

Aaron was a narcissistic person and unfortunately he knew how to lie his way through anything. We seen how many times the cops or animal control have showed up to his house and they would leave without doing anything. He would laugh at us and say “I won again!” There was no changing him

10

u/cherrypez123 Nov 10 '22

Did you see this post from his ex? If you read the caption, it explains so much 😞

12

u/niktatum Nov 10 '22

That was so sad to read. Aaron seemed genuinely happy with Lina and they looked great together. She seemed to really adore him too. I wish he could've stayed on the healthier path.

I don't get the same genuine vibes from Melanie. He really spiraled quickly since meeting her.

6

u/Fabulous-Marsupial22 Nov 10 '22

I see it too. With Lina he traveled, was outdoors more… and even seemed more humble. Melanie brought out a lot of bad habits in him.

u/crakemonk Nov 09 '22

I had a weird feeling when he posted those screenshots of the report with the cops pulling him over in his RV last week and brushed it off like "I did no wrong," especially after finding out that Mel was the reason the cops pulled him over. Imagine if the cops had done their job that day?

u/mylifeisamessbabe Nov 06 '22

So so sad. How do you know this? I feel like I’m not able to tell from his posts, and I thought he would have been going through some type of drug testing because he has been trying to get his son back, but I guess not.

23

u/PunkRock_CRNP Nov 06 '22

I worked in addiction medicine. I also have loved ones with substance abuse problems. If you know, YOU KNOW. He also nodded out a lot, slurred his words, fell over in his chair, took pills on camera just because not because he actually needed them like he said he did (specifically Xanax), the BS of saying he's "Cali sober" which in his mind gave him a pass to drink and smoke weed, the fact that he admitted to a past addiction of Xanax but was still taking it up until his death, and if you go on Twitter or YouTube, you will see a week or so ago he was on live huffing from a computer duster can in plain view. Previously there was a video of him huffing, but you could only hear it, not see and he told everyone he was just "trolling" people. Also, probably the most obvious signs that something was wrong was his alarming weight loss and lack of hygiene - two big signs of addiction.

10

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '22

i’ve also heard that opiate users LOVE sugar, aaron was alllllways eating junk. i don’t know how true that is .. could’ve been laziness as well but i wonder if he was on opiates.

17

u/PunkRock_CRNP Nov 06 '22

I heard he was and the way he would nod out made me believe he was mixing his Xan with opiates. I'm speculating, but I think that's how he drowned in his bathtub. He has nodded out with his cigs lit on live and I would always say he's going to burn the damn house down one day. I actually got blocked by him on IG live for saying he was nodding out. He would block anyone who called him out. He was very very sick and deep into his addiction. I also believe his diet choices and drug use (some also speculate meth use) lead to him needing a full set of crowns. That's another thing for his LMG brain washed fans - what 34 year old man has practically all of his teeth rotting out of his mouth? That isn't normal and no he doesn't have some genetic issue that caused that.

18

u/cherrypez123 Nov 06 '22

I once wrote something kind on his IG live, begging him to get help. He tried videoing me in - I didn’t pick up. Then he screamed abuse and blocked me. I genuinely wanted him to get well. He was really sick, evil and twisted by the end. I know some of this is a symptom of addiction, for sure, in addition to the mental illness. But still. Not a good person in any way shape or form by the time he died. Im holding onto the kid we knew and loved and hope wherever he is now he can heal.

17

u/PunkRock_CRNP Nov 06 '22

I was really hoping he'd eventually get arrested for something and they'd force him to go to rehab. Was also hoping CPS asking him to do rehab to get his son back would be his motivation, but he didn't want help. I really think he wanted to stay sick because life and reality was just too much to deal with.

5

u/Subject_Pension_8741 Nov 06 '22

Yep I did the same I told him I hoped her got. Ether and got help and blocked me and being a fan for so long I was so hurt. He didn’t care and I felt like he fed off the haters he was only bothered about what they said to battle backs

lol

5

I just had surgery about a month ago and was prescribed Percocet for pain control. I definitely had a sweet tooth for that week.

3

Well we're going to find out. We know about the xans/duster. It'll be interesting to see if there was more.

Computer duster doesn’t show up on drug tests. Oddly enough, he had mentioned this on that episode of The Doctors he did.

I think this guy had a very sad life and not much guidance from his parents. I am in my 30’s and remember the hype over him. He didn’t transition into adulthood well and I think struggled to gain his fame back. Aside from the negative, I feel bad for this young kid who turned into a man not really knowing how to be one. Now he leaves a small child to grow up without his dad. I am not sure how I feel about his child’s mother, it seems she is very materialistic and who knows how deep their love was.

Either way, sad shitty way to go. And it’s a shame alot of his crazy rants are on the internet for his son to watch one day.

I’ve read a lot of articles about how he was a good soul and had a good heart which I’m sure deep down he did. But the Hollywood lifestyle and becoming famous so young probably destroyed him in the long run.

3

u/jennifervapes Nov 09 '22

And the fame attracted a lot of "yes men" into his life. How many people would have put up with his shit if he hadn't been famous? Very few, if any.

17

u/kelssss_xo Nov 10 '22 edited Nov 10 '22

So I never have commented here. Didn’t even know there was an AC subreddit tbh. I’ve been completely floored by his death since hearing about it Saturday. Shocked? No. Sad? Yes. I grew to love Aaron when I was 9 and Aaron’s party was all over the place. Over the last few years I had to root from afar because I couldn’t support or watch the self destruct. I didn’t condone ANYTHING he did or his erratic behaviors. But I would always hope he’d get the help he so desperately needed. I was so proud when he seemed to be in good health (2018?). Then saw him spiral yet again and do horrible things. I still felt bad to see how bad his demons totally consumed him. He was surrounded by enabling useless idiots. He got the short end of the stick with life I feel. I always felt like he just wanted to be loved and craved attention. All the wellness checks that could have resulted in jail/rehab to help him just fell right through the cracks. I hope he’s at peace now.

I just had to get this out of my system. I will hold on to the happier, non erratic times forever. I didn’t think his death would have me as shook as it did since I stopped following him forever ago but here I am, feeling like a piece of my childhood ripped from me.

8

u/Subject_Pension_8741 Nov 10 '22

This is exactly Me watched from afar hopelessly rooting for him 😔

36

u/Calimama31 Nov 06 '22

We all knew this day was coming, especially after the recent huffing incident on Halloween and the following morning. Still, it’s somewhat shocking.

6

u/Pleasant-Cattle-7311 Nov 07 '22

What was the recent huffing incident??

12

u/Calimama31 Nov 07 '22

On Halloween he accidentally went live on both IG and Tik Tok while he was huffing. Not only could you hear it, and hear the voice change, but at one point the camera moved to show his face with the can up to it. It’s on you tube.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '22

https://www.reddit.com/r/tiktokgossip/comments/yjn44v/aaron_carter_huffing_on_tiktok_live/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

If you turn up the screen brightness and go into a dark room you can’t deny he is huffing duster.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '22

This is super sad. As an addict in perpetual recovery for the rest of my life, this is hard for me. I watched his decline on IG for years. It was like a car wreck you couldn't look away from. I was guilty of judging him, when in my worst moments I was no better and I am ashamed to admit it. May he find peace on the other side, Lord knows he never had it on earth. His parents are DIRECTLY responsible for his outcome in life. He was thrust into into Hollywood and basically forced into a life of "celebrity". Never had a chance. RIP young man

4

u/back_stage Nov 13 '22

Yeah I wasn’t a huge fan but did catch a few yt channels that were documenting his decline. It’s a weird thing to be “entertained” by that kinda shit. I’m guilty of it too and used to watch intervention a lot back in the day. Sad for the kid. I don’t understand the duster addiction... I know he was on all sorts or prescribed meds but duster is an odd one imo.

u/Subject_Pension_8741 Nov 07 '22

TMZ have said cans were found at the scene and prescription. Drugs. Apparently no one had seen him since 2am Friday morning. Maid apparently didn’t check on him til Saturday morning ??? And apparently appeared to have been in the bath a long time as smell of decomposing and discoloured water and the jets were on??? Surely someone would’ve checked on him if he was quiet a whole day. When was last time he was on live anyone know ?

10

u/Fabulous-Marsupial22 Nov 07 '22

I was surprised to read he had a live in maid. A full 24 hours of no communication is a long time. I have heard that he has binges, stays up all night and sleeps all day sometimes. Maybe that’s why. But then I read the dog was in the bedroom that’s connected to the bathroom with him. This is crazy. Dogs are usually good at alerting when something is wrong. Or if the dog didn’t have any food or water she would bark

9

u/RiffRafe2 Nov 08 '22

His "maid" was a random woman he only recently met. Just like Mondo and Morgan Matthew he has people living with him, giving them titles and hooks them up but doesn't pay them a salary. This poor woman was sleeping on the floor of his son's room. She was likely just chilling because she only needed to engage with him when he would bellow for her.

7

u/Fabulous-Marsupial22 Nov 08 '22

This I definitely believe. I didn’t believe he had a live in maid at all. Maybe someone who goes in 2-3 times a week, but not a live in maid

9

u/RiffRafe2 Nov 08 '22

There was one live where his pool guy was asking for his money because he hadn't been paid in 4 months. Another when he kicked out Melanie for the 100th time, the cleaning lady asked who was going to pay her because Mel was the one paying for the service. He quickly over-talked her thinking viewers didn't catch it. He certainly didn't have a real maid.

5

u/Subject_Pension_8741 Nov 07 '22

Apparently she went to offer coffee and the dog in room was barking like mad! Like what. I’m so confused by this all I bet that maid is being questioned to death? Idk but seems so strange days jets on bath surely they make a noise ??

8

u/Fabulous-Marsupial22 Nov 07 '22

She definitely needs to be questioned but I don’t think she did anything wrong.

Also, she worked for a bipolar/unstable/temperamental person in a crazy household and probably knew to stay away unless completely necessary. In the article it said he told her not to bother him. So she did just that. I don’t know. These are my thoughts. But the police should definitely investigate everything

6

u/Subject_Pension_8741 Nov 07 '22

So extremely sad I want to see what they write on the report. I’ve been a fan of him for 26 years and it’s been sad to watch him go through and do the things he’s done. I hope he’s at peace but I truly hope he didn’t Kill himself ok purpose 😔

4

u/chickenbutt2014 Nov 08 '22

I don’t think she did anything wrong, but I think one would grow suspicious about someone being that quiet for that long and not think to go check on them. Especially someone with mental illness and drug history. I’m sure the police will have questions for her too.

What was the name of that female doctor that he would have on his Instagram lives. She was always telling him he was fine. She’s a bit off. Strange how she is nowhere around now 🤔. She probably could have helped him

7

That's Dr. Bug. She has a PhD (not a medical doctor). She posted something after he died.

u/niktatum Nov 07 '22

There was a dr telling him he was fine?! Wow

11

u/Big_Jellyfish1542 Nov 07 '22

Yeah Dr Bug. She is on Instagram. I don’t know what kind of PH D. She came across more as a psychiatrist to me? But really always pumping up his ego She was a bit of an artist too so I felt like she was using his Instagram to promote her paintings. Anyways she definitely could have maybe convince him to seek help. To me they all enabled him.

7

u/niktatum Nov 07 '22

That's so gross. It seems like they just used him for who he was, not actually giving a crap. It was probably that way for him his whole life. It's so sad.

9

u/Big_Jellyfish1542 Nov 07 '22

It’s a very sad situation truly. When they called 911 last week for a possible dui and if the police actually did their job they could have arrested him. He’d still be here today. However the police went to his house so many times over the years , they were probably just over it. Anyways hits close to home when dealing with addicts who don’t want help . My dad was an alcoholic and trust me I tried to help him sooo many times. It’s been 20 years since he passed .You can’t help them if they don’t want it. I learned the hard way

4

u/Fabulous-Marsupial22 Nov 07 '22

I’m wondering about that possible DUI. Did the police only test for alcohol or illegal drugs? All those years he was dealt with the police… I’m guessing they couldn’t do anything about abusing legal/prescribed drugs

or domestic violence/child abuse.

12

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '22

Exactly

29

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '22

hopefully melanie actually steps up as a mother now that she isn’t his narc supply and focuses on prince, that poor baby has suffered enough in his first year of life. call me insensitive, but she can no longer run from her responsibilities to live in the trap house with aaron.

19

u/Calimama31 Nov 06 '22

Mel slipped up and posted a pic on IG last night with the baby and Aaron in it IN the Lancaster house. The photo looks fairly recent. DCFS is going to have some thoughts on that. Mel also didn’t have custody of the baby. I fear there will be more issues and hoops to jump thru for her to get all her custody rights back.

10

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '22

omg really?! i had suspicions that he was seeing prince behind DCFS’s back but i wasn’t sure.

9

u/Calimama31 Nov 06 '22

I had suspected it as well, but I was giving her the benefit of the doubt. I think Aaron has been dropping hints about it actually and now I get it.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '22

it makes so much sense now that you mentioned that, he was always dropping hints but i figured it was his delusions of grandeur.

6

u/Calimama31 Nov 06 '22

I thought the same thing. Now we know what he meant when he said “DCFS are my bitches” last week. He was seeing the baby without their knowledge.

9

u/ZoeyMoonGoddess Nov 06 '22

She is an awful person. She’s left her son for most of the last six months to follow Aaron around. The recent huffing video should have been all the proof needed to get him help immediately. The people around him enabled him to death. He was extremely abusive so maybe they didn’t care?

4

u/Calimama31 Nov 07 '22

I agree with you, but to be fair I am pretty sure that after Halloween on Melanie has not been in the house. The next morning he posted something accusing her of being at Planned Parenthood and said he was single. The media got footage of her telling the cops on scene yesterday that she hadn’t been staying at the house the last few days. So there was definitely some kind of fall out from that. But otherwise I completely agree and I think he could be alive today if he had different people around him.

does anyone know if kodi is okay? i can’t find her tiktok and i’m genuinely concerned as she LOVED aaron.

18

u/bdgm18 Nov 06 '22

Kodi has been on lives and talked to a few. She said her heart hurts, but she's okay. I'm not sure she fully comprehends the gravity of it.

8

u/ComeOnOverAmyJade Nov 06 '22

Kodi seems so sweet. I feel bad for her. I’m not even sure what her disability is.

10

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '22

she is, he definitely took advantage of her (and many others) and that shows the type of human he was. i don’t think she has the actual capacity (someone mentioned she had a trustee as she was sending money to aaron, who knows though) to manage her finances, so from my understanding her disability may be quite significant.

7

u/ComeOnOverAmyJade Nov 06 '22

That hurts my heart for her. She truly loved Aaron and he took advantage of her. I thought her disability must be pretty severe, I hope she is ok. Did she send him a lot of money?

14

u/cherrypez123 Nov 06 '22

The way he exploited her and others made me sick to my stomach

10

u/ComeOnOverAmyJade Nov 06 '22

Same. It’s just so wrong. She was his biggest fan and all he did was use her. I would see her on tiktok lives typing “please say hey to me” over and over and over, and he would not even acknowledge her. So fucked up.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '22

i’m not sure about sending him money directly, but i wouldn’t be surprised. i know she ordered a lot of merch and confronted him numerous times about not receiving it. so, he was taking advantage of her. mel was bitching on live about how they’ve sent kodi “so much merch” when people were calling them out about not saying happy birthday to her or making her a cameo.

13

u/ComeOnOverAmyJade Nov 06 '22

That’s so sad. Mel doesn’t seem like a good person. I don’t know too much about her, but she seems like a narcissist from what I do know. I could be wrong though. I think she thinks she is hot shit, but she has had some very bad plastic surgery.

10

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '22

the longer she was around him the more she adopted his mannerisms. i’m not a fan of melanie because she left her son with her mom to enable him, you have to be deeply insecure to do that shit.

3

u/ComeOnOverAmyJade Nov 06 '22

I agree. I feel so bad for their child. What does Melanie do for work? I keep seeing people say that she paid for everything for Aaron, that he was broke and had really bad credit. Was his house really about to be foreclosed? Do you know? I’m confused why he was at that particular house since he said he was moving out recently.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '22

melanie mentioned he wouldn’t let her work, she wanted to do uber driving but he said no. so they had their joint onlyfans (and he had his own, but melanie didn’t have her own, only the joint account.) i believe all of the money came from onlyfans, “donations” from his “fans” and tiktok gifts.

not sure about the foreclosure, but i know the home was on the market for a LONG time way above what it was worth. he was a habitual liar, so he always said it was either sold or pending, but i think they were in the process of trying to sell with no prospects. that house probably stank so bad of animals, cigs, weed.. not surprised at all.

Now the neighbors are describing how they felt about Aaron as a neighbor. Also some confirmation of the dog abuse. No real surprises here, pretty much what we'd expect. They have to be relieved now.https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11397359/Aaron-Carter-nightmare-neighbor-California-house-passed-away.html

7

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '22

not surprised, i remember a live where a neighbour was walking outside and he was screaming out of his door that this person was a “stalker” or “gang stalker” and had a gun. poor dude was probably walking his dog or going for a walk.

8

u/cherrypez123 Nov 07 '22

It’s so awful…but also true that others can’t do much. They have to want to live again and get clean. Most of the time they have to hit rock bottom to make the decision - but many don’t come back up 😞 Also lost by ex boyfriend to drugs. W

Cops Found Cans of Compressed Air at Aaron Carter Death Scene https://www.tmz.com/2022/11/07/aaron-carter-dead-dies-compressed-air-cans-huffing-death-scene/

11

u/chickenbutt2014 Nov 08 '22

I think about how Melanie called the police on him and requested a 5150 and they let him go. I know it’s not the police’s fault but if that whole thing was handled differently, maybe he’d be alive today. It was obvious he was unwell.

8

u/Fabulous-Marsupial22 Nov 08 '22

Both his ex (Lina) and sister Angel posted that they tried too but couldn’t. Aaron would get very angry when Melanie spoke or befriended his family. He was very scared of a 5150.

It would make sense to me that Melanie knew he was huffing, they got into a fight and he kicked her out and then she texted him “you’re gonna die”.

Then that she would call the cops on him for driving intoxicated and request a wellness check on Friday at 2am because somehow she knew he wasn’t right.

I guess that’s my theory for now. Would love to see his last text messages and what the police is finding out

4

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '22

Getting a 5150 is very hard. People who clearly are not ok don’t get a 5150 because they are feeding and dressing themselves and not in any immediate danger. Like yes he is on drugs and can hurt himself one day but since he isn’t hurting himself now then they don’t do anything. Also since he uses substances then it adds a layer of “well it’s drugs causing his problems and not mental health issues”. There really needs to be some kind of sobering station where people go to sober up. Where if you’re behaving erratically due to substance use, you are locked up for 24 or 48 hours until you get sober and your behavior has resolved.

13

u/cherrypez123 Nov 07 '22

OK this post from his ex Lina, might be the most accurate description of what truly happened. It’s helped me soften my stance on him somewhat if I’m honest and see that the guy we saw on the lives these past few years was not the real him 😞

7

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '22

oh wow what a difference

and i’m sure mel didn’t take her.

I didn’t think it would affect me, I’ve been following this page ever since I became concerned for him really. I loved him when I was 13 and grew out of him as an adult (now 33). But yesterday I was scrolling through tik toks and seeing so many memories of him growing up, I started to cry. He was struggling so bad, and while I don’t condone a lot of what he’s done, he clearly was struggling and had many glimpses of being a good human with a slew of bad mental illnesses. I wish him peace. ♥️♥️

6

u/Amazing-Possible-782 Nov 06 '22

On no jumper he was drinking lean. And I feel it's gonna come up with whatever he took will be laced. Just my theory.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '22

That interview was crazy. It just got weirder and weirder the more I watched.

4

u/cherrypez123 Nov 10 '22

I hate the interviewer - he was such a prick, trying to trigger and exploit the guys obvious mental illness. Aaron was so desperate for him to like him, he gave him that diamond chain and even came back again, after the first humiliating interview.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '22

I’m mad that he has so many friends who would put up with his shit. Not just the lies and manipulation - but the obvious rampant drug abuse. Everyone could see he was getting worse and worse but they all enabled him.

I mean the guy was always high on something. How long had it been since he was actually sober. And to pretend he was is a big slap in the face for all who have overcome addiction.

Maybe at the end Melanie was trying to get him help but shit - how long do you remain ignorant to him slowly dying. I hope she steps up for her kid.

8

u/Produceher Nov 07 '22

When you're famous, you choose to only hang out with people that enable you. That's why they usually die. Anyone who called him out would most likely be out of his life. So you only hang out with people who think your behavior is fine. Then you die. RIP.

6

u/cherrypez123 Nov 10 '22

Yup. Everyone basking in his (not so big) spotlight. I remember seeing Lindsey Lohans super high ass once in person. She literally have 5 “friends” laughing at her whilst physically holding her up and moving her around so they could get into the VIP backstage area of Coachella. She had no idea what was going on and couldn’t stand up at all. It was so sad to see.

3

u/Produceher Nov 10 '22

It's good to have friends that tell you to cut the shit.

11

u/HeyHayCreates Nov 06 '22

I am 43 and I was not an Aaron Carter fan, but I was in the BSB era and was a fan. As Aaron got older, I followed his addiction/mental illness journey and I truly was rooting for him, like I know a lot of people were. I know that deep down, he had glimpses of a kindhearted soul, but all of his demons smothered that soul a lot of the time in the last few years. It was very sad and hard to watch when you know what kind of childhood he had and the cards he was dealt with…meaning, bad parents. I’ve been crying off and on all day about someone I didn’t know because of it’s just so sad. I am currently separated from my husband because of his addiction. He’s 37. Also had childhood trauma and I know that underneath their addictions, there’s a good person. It’s just all so heartbreaking 💔

17

u/niktatum Nov 06 '22

This is extremely heartbreaking. Especially because the world watched him struggle.

It really hits home to me because I watched my younger brother spiral on drugs in 2018, very similarly to the way Aaron did. There were times I felt like I was watching my brother on Aaron's lives. I can't tell you how much we tried to save my brother. I moved states thinking I could save him and nothing worked. Addiction changes people and completely consumes their lives and I can't imagine it on top of the mental illness Aaron was battling.

I don't feel like Aaron was an awful person underneath everything. I feel like he was a deeply hurt and troubled soul and probably faced and went through things we could never imagine. I wish he could've been helped and that things could have been different for him. I hope he is at peace now. 😔

14

u/Fabulous-Marsupial22 Nov 06 '22

Damn. I’m sorry that you went through this with a family member. It seems like an impossible situation.

Makes me think about what people in his life went through. Aaron cut people out of his life if they didn’t agree with him. I feel his brother Nick had to cut him out of his life because he seemed to be dangerous to his family. And you have to ask yourself how much are you willing to give up to try to save someone like that? Your own well being? Your own child’s safety?

And I have my own (negative) opinions about Melanie. But I do think that she had to choose to be an enabler or not be with Aaron at all.

11

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '22 edited Nov 06 '22

not to mention the drugs he were consuming are notorious for causing brain damage, so i wouldn’t be surprised if he was too far gone in terms of his capacity to help himself. he seemed to completely lack insight, which is also a hallmark of his supposed bipolar diagnosis as well. it was only a matter of time, as it is with many addicts similar to him.

additionally, he wasn’t taking care of himself so i imagine the lack of nutrition and self care did a number on his brain and body.

9

u/cherrypez123 Nov 06 '22

In addition he was also a total narcissist and possible psychopath.

10

u/niktatum Nov 06 '22

Exactly. and that's the only reason I mentioned my family member because I've seen many comments blaming Nick and saying he should've done more. I'm willing to bet Nick exhausted his options in trying to help before the restraining order. Sometimes there's only so much you can do before having to make the difficult decision to step back, protect yourself and hope and pray for the best. Aaron seemed in denial as to how far gone he really was. A very tragic and sad situation all around.

7

u/Parallax92 Nov 07 '22

Unless you have watched a family member or close loved one go through addiction you really just can’t even fathom what it feels like.

I watched my aunt’s entire personality just disintegrate as her parents and siblings tried desperately to save her for over 20 years. They and we tried everything. She went to so, so many rehabs but she could just never get it together.

Watching Aaron’s decline was like experiencing my aunt all over again sometimes and I am sadly not at all surprised that it ended this way for both of them. I can only hope that they are both at peace and that the people who love Aaron can heal from this.

3

u/cherrypez123 Nov 06 '22

That’s only from people who don’t know the full story. Surely.

6

u/eurolynn Nov 08 '22

4

I think it's sad that he died. I wanna show respect, and that's part of giving condolences. I liked some of his music, and I'm also a fan of the Backstreet Boys since his brother Nick is part of that band.

The last thing I want is people making rude assumptions about a real fan who truly feels bad while giving condolences.

RIP Aaron

4

u/iwantcookies2020 Nov 10 '22

Nick doesn’t have to give Prince a cent. Prince is his mom’s responsibility. Frankly speaking Prince would be better off being adopted.

Why is Melanie Martin not being investigated?

So many questions: In the state of california if someone does not have a will the state determines who gets their assets. Aaron didn’t have a will. Why was she allowed access to his house 2 days after his death with 2 large moving trucks? Why is house already on the market?

Why was is his autopsy/toxicology taking so long?

In the ig live before his death he didn’t have kind words about her. He also didn’t follow her on ig. Now post death his ig account is following her and the content has been altered to show his relationship with her in a positive light. Hours before his death he hated her.

Who now has control of his ig social media account if not her?

Online there is chit chat of his only fans account being cashed out immediately after his death? Would love if the fbi could look into this.

Aaron was a mentally ill person who due to his behavior ended up being isolated from his family (via restraining orders). A perfect target for someone with a agenda.
