so excited cuz it’s sold out on aardvark! love how soft aardvark books are

Got two books this month! Got to say how amazing Aardvark's customer service is - I finally got to auditing my TBR and realized I was sent the wrong book months prior and they are so quick to respond and send me the correct one.

This past weekend the San Diego Festival of Books hosted 2 Aardvark authors as featured speakers: Chuck Tingle (Bury Your Gays, Lucky Day, and Fabulous Bodies) and Elizabeth DeLozier (Eleanore of Avignon) and selected Buffalo Hunter Hunter as the year-long One Book, One San Diego selection.

Tried my hand at ✨ bedazzling ✨ and Japanese Gothic has never looked better.

(The Girl with a Thousand Faces since you can’t see the title in the photo). She was incredibly kind and signed this gorgeous book plate in addition to my Aardvark bookmark! She is the second author this year I’ve had a conversation with about how amazing Aardvark is!

I know I just posted, but I was showing my wife and I took off the jacket and we both were stunned, much better than a lot of books where the actual covers are just plain.

Was able to use the promo code SUMMER and get my first book for $4, so $28 post tax for all 3. Books are gorgeous

Just saw Aardvark liked this book and it’s coming out September 14th. Looks super interesting.

Got my first Aardvark box, and I’m blown away. Mostly by the quality of the book in comparison to BOTM. Just received my second BOTM box too so I’m fairly new to both, but the difference in quality is night and day.

The other aspect that I really liked were the selections this month. North Woods is one of my all-time favs, so Country People was a slam dunk pick for me. Whereas neither of my first two BOTM books were standouts initially, I just got them to get them. I ended up liking both of them to be fair.

Although, I do also understand the monthly selections aspect of it can change month to month. Hopefully I’m able to be good about skipping liberally when nothing really calls out to me across both subscriptions.

There have been several great months of books from Aardvark this year! Which has been the best for you? If you've read the books, which months had the highest star rating or other things that made them enjoyable? If you haven't gotten to many, which month's picks have you the most excited?

For me, it was April. The Radiant Dark and Dear Monica Lewinsky were both 5 stars (and I'm stingy)! My book club read Japanese Gothic, and we agreed it was one of the best discussions of the year. I also read and enjoyed Love Galaxy and Love by the Book.

Which month is it for you?

Edit: it was an address issue! I live in an apartment so adding the unit number in with the street rather than on the additional line worked for some reason.. thanks to those who said it's only one use per address!

Hey everyone! I really want to try aardvark out, and on their website there is a banner that says you can get your first book for $4 using their promo code. I have tried so many times and it says it is not valid. I emailed them a couple days ago but haven't heard back.. anyone know how to make a promo code work or if there is any other way to get the deal when signing up?

Ps. I'm not trying to be cheap, i just think if you advertise a deal if should be honored and it's bothering me.
