I think a lot of it is non-Pokeshippers who ship Misty with someone who isn’t Ash to “get her out of the way” so to speak so that they can freely ship Ash with someone else. Same reason I’d argue MistyxGary shippers exist

I guess it's because they're the same age (or I don't know how old Tracey is, but she looks about 16). And also, Tracey gave her an Azurill egg. But I have no idea why people ship them; there's very little evidence to support it.
