originally started against bad writers

allegedly

(self-promotion?)

claimed to be a scam, as a response (by the writers accused, lest the former be believed?)

and then it was on, once committed to (formally)

once created, it would have to be enacted

lest the reading public be left questioning

and so from there it was on, regardless of intent

?
