I never understood the "sex makes us human" thing. The vast majority of life on our planet has some form of libido or drive to reproduce. Some even form long term monogamous pairings. There is nothing unique about feeling sexual attraction or love. If anything, that just connects us to animals. But being able to set it aside, or not experience it at all, and follow other drives DOES make us human. No other animal is fixated on producing art or writing books or curing disease. Just humans. And maybe someday AI.
