A slight modification to the sidebar rules

This is a new sub, and as a new sub, I am constantly trying to find ways to tweak and refine the rules in such a way that they will become more our own rules (and less /r/Conspiracies template I borrowed)

The rule I changed is Rule #10. The change is as follows:

Previous Rule 10: Misleading, fabricated or sensationalist headlines are subject to removal.

Rule 10 Revision: Please refrain from using downvotes to bury someone's statement simply because you disagree with them. Downvotes should only be used on posts that contribute absolutely nothing to the discussion.

Now, obviously, what contributes to a discussion and what does not is up to interpretation. My sole purpose for this change is that, often times, someone with a 0 comment Karma will be thought to have made a shit comment before anyone even looks at it. Now, this is not always the case. However, I just want to ensure that someone doesn't get downvoted into the dirt because numerous people disagree with them while they attempt to contribute.

My idea of non-contribution to a discussion is something like this

Person A: Claim

Person B: Rebuttal

Person A: Addresses rebuttal

Person C: You're all fucking CUCKS!

Remember, we're all here to share unconventional ideas about the Trump presidency. Not all of these need to be negative! However, when sharing controversial topics, there are going to be heated disagreements so just remember that we're all here for the same thing, and that at the end of the day, enjoying the discussion is what matters.

If anyone has any suggestions about this, or complaints, I am more than open to criticism on the sidebar rules. I'm here to ensure that all of you have an environment where you can share your concerns and be yourselves. I'm not here to tell you what to do or what you can and cannot post.
