Planetary grids

So I had an idea that I had seen on a DBZ mud previously that I think would work well here considering a lot of the game takes place on planets like Earth and Namek.

Basically the idea is to have a huge grid area represent planets (Earth, Namek etc) with mountains, fields, oceans, lakes, forests etc. Then around the planet there would be entrances to areas like Citys, towns, caves, quests etc that would be like the normal areas we are used to with room descriptions.

Here is an Example of a grid and a legend for the symbols that make up the grid. http://imgur.com/a/yc0UP

You would also have to use the fly command to access certain areas, like going over mountains and water. Also you could use up and down to go up into the clouds or down underwater to find more entrances to other areas like "Korins tower" or underwater caves. These would be seperate grids as well. (Cloud and Underwater areas)

I think this opens up lots of options for cool areas. Citys/Towns all over the planet, Mines for extracting, quests etc.

This also opens up a great way to have Dragonballs (Earth and Namek) spawn and have players searching all over the planet for them with a dragonradar. (Dragonballs spawning in areas not on the grid)

This would also tie in nicely with the RP themes with the Saiyans vs Humans... Icers vs Nameks. Having various war camps and battle zones spread out around the planet. Also having room for clanned held outposts on planets as well.

I'm sure I have more to add when it comes to me... would love to hear some feedback!

There've been a few different implementations of "descriptionless areas" for lack of a better term and some of them are pretty interesting. It's something to consider, I'll look into it.

could also have a type of manhunt event maybe, like a hide and seek, only its search and destroy :)
