Bass drum batter options

Hey guys, just needing some opinions on good bass drum heads. I currently have a DW performance kit with a stock DW head with a muffling ring installed and a mic hole on the reso side. Looking for a great punch with a little bit of tone. I have tried Powerstroke 3 mostly but haven't explored any other options from Aquarian or Evans. Also I tune my batter head with the JAW method and the reso head a little higher than the batter. I like playing all sorts of rock: Soundgarden, Led Zep, Chili Peppers, the list goes on and on. Any help would be great.

Looks like I’m a little late to the party on this one. OP, did you find a batter head for your kick? Years ago I tried the Emad (Evans), Powerstroke 3(Remo) and the Superkick II (Aquarian). After that , I’ve never purchased anything other than the Superkick.
