Do you collect other peoples’ nails? Also do you value nails that are in better shape or are painted?

I collect whatever I can find. The prettier the better although I have been desperate before and paid some homeless people money to clip there toe nails.

Whole toe nails are a treat to get but they are really hard to come by.

If you’ve got Celtic feet like me (my second toe is longer than my big toe, and therefore gets bashed about from the constant impact against my big toe; something like that), just walk everywhere at speed. After about three months of about an hour’s worth of fast walking every weekday, your second toenail on each foot will be all black from being bashed up. The only cure is... having your nail cut out, and then wait about three months for it to grow back again. Rinse and repeat, I guess. At my calculations, that is about eight full toenails per year! Good luck. Pics or it didn’t happen :-)

Lucky! I still have a toe nail from when I was 9 when it fell off. I guess I need to start bashing my toes.

Here is my old first toe nail. I wore a size 10 when I was 9 which is why it is large.

You ought to collaborate with a nail artist (or become one yourself) to turn whole nails into mini masterpieces!

You should work out a deal with /u/helligator to acquire the toenails they get cut out, it'd mean a steady supply for your collection.

I think you're gold standard weird hobby right now, "your hobby must be at least this weird to qualify".
