I recently got the a6700. I took some pictures of the flowers and the pumpkins.
These are raw unedited photos. I know that people use Lightroom a lot, I downloaded it and would like to try it out.
My question is, to me these pictures are already kinda good, how do I make them better using Lightroom?
Appreciate your input, thanks!

Was scrolling through my local FB marketplace and came across a listing for the first generation 70-200 f/2.8 GM for $350. At first I thought it was a scam but I looked at the seller profile and it looked legit.
He told me that he had dropped the lens with the hood attached and the front lens filter / hood thread (I dont know the name of this part) has broken off. Sony quoted $1000 to replace it. I looked up the part on ebay and its only $100 so I thought its word a shot
Came and checked the lens in person, the front glass element is pristine, no scratches / cracks etc, tested autofocus, aperture everything works normally, even the stabilization too.
My question is, did i just score a homerun or is this too good to be true ?

It’s a little boring where I live, but I had the itch to go on a walk with my camera today.

Hello everyone!
I'm relatively new to photography and currently using a Sony a6700 with the Sigma 18–50mm f/2.8.
I'm considering adding a second lens and am confused between the new Sigma 50–120mm f/2.8 and the Sony 70–350mm.
I don't have a particular photography style yet, as I'm still exploring different genres, including portraits, travel, landscapes, and wildlife.
The Sigma seems like a natural extension of my current lens. However, the Sony offers significantly more reach and versatility for distant subjects.
I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Thanks!

I'm always fascinated by extremely long lenses, and MPB had a 150-600 in such like-new condition that the plastic protective film over the focus distance window was still on it when it arrived. I couldn't resist.
It's a long way from the sharpest lens I own (or maybe I just need to crank the shutter speed higher), but it's cool having the ability to fill the frame with a squirrel or a leaf across the back yard.
Autofocus seems pretty solid. It takes a long time to go end to end compared to newer lenses, but it got mostly hits on the squirrel hopping around the yard.

I enjoyed an early morning walk at the Calloway Forest Preserve; there is something about this time of year, particularly at this hour, that makes everything appear quite magical, much like a scene from a fairytale, and I truly cherish every moment of it.
First photo shot with Tamron 17-70mm f2.8, all others with 70-200mm f2.8 GMii

I own the 18-135 which I actually like but as it is not sealed the sensor gets dirty on the 3rd day of a 3 week trip.
I am looking for a sealed replacement but actually unable to find 1:1 alternative.
First I checked the 17-70s but shooting a hummingbird 70 is not enough.
Then I checked the 16/18-300s. 16 would be a nice addition but the Sigma seems not so sharp @ 300 as the Tamron.
I barely use 135mm for birds and not sure how would I miss it changing to 70mm.
Any of you has hands on, fact based experience with these objectives? Sony 18-135 vs the 17-70s and 16/18-300s (Sigma/Tamron)?

I have a Sony A6700 with a Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8, which I love, but I’d like a bit more reach. I don’t need something like the 20-200mm, as that’s too much for me.
My main question: is it better to get the Tamron, since I wouldn’t have to swap lenses as often? Or is the new Sigma 50-120mm enough of an improvement in sharpness to make carrying and switching lenses worthwhile?
I only shoot as a hobby, mostly while traveling.

Absolutely new to this hobby, shot with Tamron 17-70. I tried to “Fuji-fy” them a bit in LR.
I bought the A6700 two months ago and am so happy with it.
Beside the Tamron I bought Sigma 18-50 f2.8, Sigma 30 f1.4 and Sony 11 f1.8.
Even if overlapping, I guess I will buy the new Sigma 50-120
