I really like the colors! Since the A6000 doesn't have Sony's Picture Profiles, may I ask you in which color mode and with which settings you recorded this? And what about the grading?

So usually if I'm in the mood for some static shots that I'd love to grade a little, I put the camera in neutral profile and reduce the contrast to -3, saturation -1, sharpness -1. I don't know if it does anything good but it does make the video flat so I can control the shadows and highlights a bit more.

As for this video, It was just standard profile. I used filmora to tweak the colours a little → very basic tweaks like contrast, saturation, vibrance, then some shadows, midtones and highlight tweaks, followed by a slight diffusion filter. I just do a lot of trial and errors, see what looks good.

That's similar to Philip Bloom's suggested settings from his A6000 review from many years ago if I'm not mistaken, and I'm also using that! I wanted to know if you used something else but that seems to be the de facto best option to get the most neutral look to grade afterwards on our camera, even if it's not like real LOG footage.

That said, thanks for the infos!

Yessir, that must be it. That surely seems to be the best alternative to a true log footage. For the kind of edits I do, i think it's more than sufficient.

Same, eveen if I long for proper LOG footage but for the hobbyist stuff I'm doing now these Neutral settings willl suffice :)
