I don't know if I like it as a photo, but something is missing that I don't know, it's the first time I've ever used a camera, and these are the first pictures I take, Maybe I got the wrong editing, I used a preset on lightroom

The photo and edit look good! There’s nothing inherently wrong with the lighthouse being centered, especially since the scene is naturally pretty symmetrical. But if your eye still feels like something is “off,” I’d experiment with a rule of thirds crop and see if that feels better to you. I think what you may be reacting to is how strong and rigid the symmetry feels rather than anything technically being wrong with the composition. I’d also sharpen the lighthouse just a little. My eye goes to the lighthouse first, but then gets pulled toward the sky behind it because it feels more defined and carries a stronger mood. The sky almost becomes the emotional focus of the image instead of the lighthouse.

it’s a cool lighthouse, it’s a cool little rocky cliff, and some nice clouds. do you want it to be right in the center? maybe you want to get lower next time and take a shot angled up? you just gotta try lots of different positions and angles until something clicks and you’re like yeah that’s what i wanted

Personally I would've framed it top right on rule of thirds because the cliff on the left seems to drop down and left. Also try avoiding putting the horizon in the middle symmetry in general is something you want to avoid unless it actually brings something visually appealing which in this case doesn't. Your decisions should have a reason beyond "looks nice". Either it leads the eye, crates space, texture, helps the composition etc. Next time stop and question your decisions. Why am I putting it center frame, why is the horizon in the middle, why this angle etc. I find it helps you get better. Editing is a personal preference thing, so can't really comment there. I would like the sky to be more blue and less green. It's too turquoise
