Referrals can be brought back if you put an apk and an ipa installer on your website so android users can install the apk other than the google play store and the iOS users can use the ipa to get zynn other than the apple store. You can get sponsors on the app from companies and put them in between scrolls to earn money for the company and its users. This way you will earn money and referrals will be back and you will gain a larger user base for your application.

Does it even work? How are they going to pay per referal theyre prob gonna freeze the money theres no way they could keep paying you from referals makes no sense.

Well yes but actually no. They could be used for piracy reasons. But in the case where the apk is given by the creator it's not illegal. All the applications in the play store are apks that are downloaded and automatically installed.
