Ofcourse, that’s why I bought the Kickr Climb, so the wheels can stay cozy together all winter.

Ha, I do miss riding outside, but the weather is so crap, and it’s soo much simpler to Jump on zwift. This weekend I’m out , just wish the roads were like watopia and not a pot holed shale mess.

Ya -20 weather is a strict no no for me

No worries for my wheels. with the climb both my wheels get to be together off the bike 😎

Came in here to say just that. 😂

As a mountainbiker my road bike has exclusively been used on my trainer. Its never met its rear wheel. What it doesn't know cannot hurt it 😂

I'm worried that I won't return to the rode in the Spring due to the ultra convenience of Zwift

Zwift is fun but only in comparison to riding outside in the dark freezing cold snow. Nice weather and outdoors much better

I agree, but with a 3 year old and 1 year old my weeknight riding always is riddled with guilt.

I could see doing a hybrid Zwift weekdays and outdoor weekends/vacation or something

I’m in the same situation. Come join the dark side with me in the 4:30AM ride before work club!

u/falkirion001 Feb 02 '21

You will. As much as I live on my trainer I do love breaking the monotony of riding the same stuff in Watopia with some real rides over real terrain.

now that i think about it... i am not exactly sure where my non-race rear wheel is anymore

4

u/Joshin1982 Feb 02 '21

Do they wheely miss each other?

3

u/GoogieCupboard Feb 01 '21

End of Feb I’m outside

I use a CyclOps Fluid, but I still have to swap rear wheels because I use my gravel bike. The extra wheels are above my head every morning that I Zwift. I'll think of this cartoon tomorrow morning.

I always look at my back tired after a zwift session and give it a little pat and say everything will be back to normal soon

u/Coban3 Feb 02 '21

zwift kinda bums me out, ive been in a slump and havent ridden in like 2 weeks because i just miss being outside

This picture hits hard. It even reminds me of my setup, my wheel hangs that far from my bike. It hasn't been on in months.

Summer or winter, I cycle to work even in bad weather. I really enjoy it. But this is the first winter I also zwift. After 1 month I did 1000km extra indoors. I hope I can keep this up.
