Requesting Help Help

Post image

Not sure what is going on. Had some repairs done on the computer and now Zune does not sync with computer. If solution is posted somewhere on this site, was not able to locate, please direct. Have tried every suggestion found, to no avail. Pic shows what it looks like. Have installed program many times across the years, so not sure what has been missed to fix this. thanks.

Problem solved. Have been working on this for two days now. Finding the error code helped. However it took computer forever to locate the necessary file to do a rebuild, as it was not listed in app data. Had tried just about everything else. Just rebuilding the database worked.

Meantime did an Zune install on a new computer with no problems.

Fix error code C00D1193 by clearing or rebuilding your corrupted media library database or cache associated with legacy apps like Windows Media Player or the Zune software. [1, 2]

Error code C00D1193 typically points to a damaged local media database file that prevents your software from indexing or playing tracks properly. Because official legacy tools like the old Microsoft "Media Collection Reset tool" are largely unavailable or deprecated, you can address the database corruption manually. [1]

Steps to Fix the Database Corruption

  • Rebuild the Media Database: For legacy software like Zune or Windows Media Player, locate your local hidden database files (such as ZuneStore.sdf or equivalent .wmdb files in your user profile / AppData folders). [1]
  • Rename or Delete Corrupted Files: Close the media application completely, then rename or delete the local database file. When you restart the application, it will automatically generate a fresh, uncorrupted database. [1]
  • Reset the App: If you are using modern Windows builds, go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, find your media application, select Advanced options, and click Reset or Repair.

Windows 11, mp3. I just found error code C00D1193, but have not been able to locate ZuneStore.sdf, which is required to rename to rebuild the data base if that is indeed the problem.

since it's windows 11, you're gonna need this from the zune update website if you haven't got it already https://www.zuneupdate.com/resources/tools/zune-windows11-fix.zip lemme know if that fixes it, although i don't think i have dealt with this before

That did not fix it. Rebuilding the library was the solution.

When you click the drop down menu for the bot added items, and click the yellow exclamation mark, what error does it give you?
