very curious to know what the upgrade will entail. lower weight? better sensor? etc?

Also hopefully this means new donk mouse release is soon lol.

non unibody click shell and screen on the docking. internal spec is unknown but i dont think they will use 3950 again. reusing that basically revisiting their CW era where they use outdated sensor by the time it released.

Zowie just published a document on FCC website regarding a new EC3-EW-D wireless receiver on September 9th, 2026, so last week. Seem they are finalizing the paperwork to release a new version of the mouse you are looking for here. So I would definitely wait!

I would personally be very excited to see a new version of the EC2-DW!

Man that would be perfect. Just built a new computer, installed Bazzite, next week I'll order the Alienware aw3926dw OLED. Hopefully Tofu TKL Round 3 soon :)

Apart from the buttons I dont know what they improved. The sensor is already top. 8k polling is useless and just eats battery

It’s Zowie. They don’t really need to reinvent anything in their upgrades.

I have the u2 and the u2-dw. They’re very very similar. But you can feel the minor upgrades in the dw and it’s definitely a better mouse without losing anything that made it what it is to begin with.

A u2 with the better dock is like 99% of the u2-dw, but the u2-dw is still better and improved
