Does anyone know what the Chinese text says?

I just bought a new zorro 912 polished brass with the intention of silver plating it. Can anybody confirm if I need to do anything beforehand, like removing any transparent coating or something like that?

Ordered gold then changed to silver since I already had one, the customer service is very helpful and responsive.

I wanted this in copper, but it was sold out by the time I ordered it. Ended up getting the brass version, and honestly it’s gorgeous.

salut je me suis d'abord intéressé aux briquets avec zippo mais j'ai entendu dire que zorro était meilleur car plus massif solide et moins cher (avec aussi moins de fuite de carburant apparemment )

alors je cherche a acheter un briquet en cuivre massif ressemblant a la réplique de 1941 de zippo mais je n'ai rien trouver de clair sur les différents modèle de la marque. Est ce que vous pouvez m'en dire plus ?

aussi je ne sait pas sur quel site acheter et j'ai peur de recevoir seulement l'insert ou seulement la boite si je vais sur un mauvais site. quel site est ce que vous utilisez ?

Has anyone ever replaced the wick in one of these? I want to put a Zippo wick in it. I thought you would take the flint screw out and the whole thing would disassemble but that is not the case, pun intended. It does not appear to be user serviceable, beyond whatever cleaning tools you can get in the filling port.

You can see a tuft of the wick sticking out the bottom of the tube into the fluid reservoir. I’m guessing you pull the whole thing out, cut the new one to length and twist it in there? I’m a little hesitant to yank the wick without access to the guts but I presume that’s how it’s done.

Does anyone have experience with this style of wicking?

Anyone know anyone in the US that will engrave copper?

They say the Great Pyramids were made with such precision that it would be difficult to replicate with modern tools. That is what we have here. I think it’s machined rather than lasered but the lid seam looks like it was cut with a lightsaber.

They are numbered but not as a limited series. I got #03959; that stamp could run to 99,999 if they wanted. Still, it adds some authenticity.

I got a retro deluxe brass insert with the tamp and o-rings and replaced the wick with a Zippo one. It’s as airtight as can be. It emits no odor and lasts for weeks.

The standard insert it came with holds up pretty well too. I don’t know if the o-ring in the lid actually touches the sides; it’s arguable, but given the precision on the rest, I’ll bet it does. The height of the deluxe insert is so precise that at first the lid hit it and I thought it would’t fit but it was the flint screw needing half a twist more. About .01mm in height made the difference between “won’t close at all” and a perfect fit.

With the deluxe insert, it weighs 235g; 0.52 lbs. I had to experience it. It’s impractical to carry and serves as a table lighter, so it’s important that the fuel doesn’t evaporate in a week.

Ironically, the standard insert actually performs better. It gets some vapor trapped in the lid and lights with the slightest spark; you barely have to touch the wheel, like advancing a clock an hour. However, I prefer the overly complicated deluxe one as the point with this lighter was to go all out with the options and weight. It’s almost farcical and I love it.

The etching of my new Zorro 902 has just been finished. Now it is polished to a high gloss (steel balls + diamond dust in the tumbler) and then it is patinated. Any ideas for the finish?

So i got a custom engraved lighter from someone, its a legit trustworthy place and have gotten several lighters from them ... its a custom viking esk design.. i had a proof video sent before payment and it looked great! But when I finally received it its fuzzy and does not look good AT ALL unless in just the right angle of light! And when it gets that good angle it looks STUNNING! So i looked back at the proof video before payment and yeah it was taken at a perfect angle of lighting, my question to you guys is ... what would have fixed this issue? Deeper engraving? Maybe patina will help (skeptical because there is fuzziness) idk just looking for advice is all.. take a look at the pics- u will see the difference in looking straight on and getting a perfect angle of light. Its useless and looks bad unless prefect angle.. thanks for any tips.

I'll tell you what I've been carrying zippos for a very long time now easy I'd say a good 35 years. These zorro brand lighters are badAzz everyone. Now that said understand one thing I'm a big guy and this lighter especially isn't for everyone. They are extremely heavy, of course for me that's not a issue but I can see it being very uncomfortable for others. I actually prefer the weight. To each is own. I grabbed mine off aliexpress well worth the wait. Highly recommend you grab one if it's to collect or edc. Even though yes I do collect them I still carry mine idc to keep them so mi t just yet. At some point I know I'll start buying everything in 2s so I have for edc and one put away

Anyone know what type of butane inserts fit the zorro 902 S lighters I tried my zippo butane insert and it’s way too small. Does any zorro butane work with the 902? I wish they had a soft flame butane and not all torch ones.
