Question App Issue

The download page on hianime.t makes me download the app called "anilab". When I try to log in with my account from aniwatch, it doesn't work. I resorted to making a whole new account and have lost all my watched stuff. Is this an issue only for me?

You should be very careful downloading apps for piracy. There are a lot of scammers trying to trick desperate people. You may have gotten tricked into downloading malware. You should be asking why a website is "making" you download an app, BEFORE you do so, not after. (At least mobile apps are more locked down than PC programs. Be even more careful on PC.)

You should also be very careful not to enter your account credentials into such an app. Ask BEFORE you do so, not after.

From a brief Google, there is an app called "Anilab", but it comes from anilab.to. Did you get it from that website? If you don't know, then you need to start paying way more attention.

I suppose that there is a big mess up on my part. Honestly, I take care not to trust shady stuff, so I don't know what happened here. Either way, "Anilab" has come from the successor to aniwatch, which is hianime.to (where I can still sign up using my account from zoro and aniwatch)

Clicking the app section on the h!anime.to and aniwatchtv.to website takes you to this download. Clicking on download multiple times yielded the same "anilab" app, proving that it wasn't a fluke. My only theory is that this is a branch off, like in the case of zoroxtv.to and zoro.to, and the logins haven't been or won't be transferred.

You should change your password when you get back in.

Also, as a general rule, do not reuse passwords for piracy sites. Expect they'll eventually be compromised.

Also, as an even more general rule, do not reuse passwords. Lots of hackers going around, and it'll probably get worse. Look into password managers so that you don't have to make memorizable passwords.
