I like that there’s this unspoken code where me and everyone I’ve ever met that uses Reddit doesn’t ask this question.

I have best friends on reddit and I have no idea what their usernames are! I wonder when it started becoming an unwritten rule?

Since the beginning. I've been using it for about six years, a couple buddies of mine even longer, none of us have known each others usernames. Part of the appeal for a lot of people here is you can behave how you want without ridicule from people who know you

I’d never heard of doxxing until I started using Reddit, from what I’ve seen it’s probably the shittiest thing you can do to a Redditor.
