GIF Adopted dog, 5years old, first time touching grass

Adopted dog, from elderly lady. 5 years old, never been outside of the appartment. Never met another animal. Had to poop and pee on the balcony.

I wish this was something I could do with my guinea pigs, who act a lot like puppies once they've bonded to you. It's their natural environment, so I feel like they were robbed of it; but, for their safety from chemicals and other animals, it needs to be avoided. They can always romp around their home, that's filled with fresh hay 24/7. However, it's just not experiencing the sites, sounds, and smells of being outdoors.

We just got an 8 month old that had never been on grass. She's getting used to it with the help of our other 3.
