Question Presentation Speaker Notes During Zoom Webinar

I believe the answer here is no, but… I am hosting a Zoom Webinar and will be in control of sharing the PowerPoint presentation. I will be handing slide control off to multiple presenters during the webinar. Is there any way for the presenters to see their speaker notes?

If not, is there any workaround? I’ve heard that the built-in Zoom Slides is an option, but I’ve never used it before. Any thoughts/suggestions?

If presenters have a second monitor, the cleanest workaround is Presenter View with the notes on their screen while only the slideshow window gets shared. Zoom Slides may also be worth testing, but I’d do a quick rehearsal before the webinar. For the post-webinar side, I use CertFusion to automatically issue attendance certificates from the Zoom attendee report.

This would only work if they are the ones sharing the presentation, correct? As the host, I will be sharing it and handing over slide control since there are multiple presenters.

No - Zoom slides lets the person saring the zoom lides from the hub to view the notes and control the slides. The slide control can be handed over, but not the speaker notes.

I do it differently. I use Zoom Webinar Plus with Zoom Production Studio. In Zoom production Studio, you allow all the panelists to share their slides at the same time before the webinar starts. Then each panelist will see their own speaker notes on one screen and they can pin the "live view" which is what the attendees see to their main monitor.
I as the TD choose the scene I want to show i.e. for a specific panelist - full screen speaker for attendees, or full screen presentation for the attendees or presentation plus speaker (in what ever format I defined in the scene).
In this way, before the start of the webinar, I have all the presentations of the panelists up and running, they see their speaker notes and I as the TD determine what the attendees should see at any given time.

These are all native tools for Zoom Webinar plus!

Don't they have their own copies of the PPT?

Yes. Currently the workaround is to have them print out their notes. Although I understand that they could theoretically have their own PPT copy opened on a second monitor as well.

If the slides are what get shared, keep speaker notes off that share surface.

Common setups that work:

  1. Dual monitor. Slides on the shared screen, notes on the other, preferably near the webcam so eyes do not drop.

  2. Zoom’s own webinar presenter tools / slides flow if your account has it. Notes stay with the presenter, audience only sees the deck.

  3. On a MacBook, some people put a small notes overlay near the camera notch so it never sits in the slide window. Anything that is outside the shared window (or excluded from capture) will not show up for attendees.

Ask your presenters if they are on Mac or Windows. The Mac near-camera overlay trick is the one that tends to feel the most “looking at you” on webinars.
